So I'm guessing we have maybe 2-3 more Unrivaled sets before the floodgates open and this line because an even bigger pain in the ass to collect.

Why for the love of god do they keep releasing Cody and Kenny like I get they’re presidents of AEW but like can we just let them be for a while, this is how you KILL a line by rereleasing figures no one wants like where’s BRITT, Shida, Jungle boy, Kong or heck even kip and Penelope???

Jeremy confirmed the lineup on Twitter. The year on the box is incorrect. February 12 2020 was Dynamite in Cedar Park, TX. Main event was the "eye for an eye" match, Santana and Mox both had eye injuries before it (both wearing eye patches on the box). Also interesting that Santana is specifically depicting this show. Alternate head with eye patch? So they'll fix the date on the box or nah? I throw away the boxes anyway so I guess it doesn't really matter. Could be that Santana is the chase/rare and will have a different headsculpt to depict the eye vs eye match. |

Nice to have confirmation of series 4.
I'm planning to definitely get Sammy, Santana, and Ortiz. More new faces.
Probably going to get Cody and Kenny. Updated skin tones, and maybe a tag title and/or TNT title will make me get these.
Probably passing on Hardy. I've got plenty of figures of him already. Unless the figure looks amazing, it will probably be my first pass in this line (other than the chase figures).
I'm hoping the Unmatched series Jeremy mentioned is more figures in the same style, maybe two-packs. It would be a great way to get more tag teams and duos out there sooner. SCU, Jurassic Express, Best Friends, FTR, and Kip & Penelope would be great to get in two-packs.

Re: Unmatched, Jeremy has said that these would be parallel lines, with Unrivaled releasing one month, and Unmatched the next. My impression that these will both be articulated lines at the same price point, but I could be wrong. I think that's also where we start to see legends.
I think Jeremy said they wanted to have that in stores by Q3.

Unmatched has to be 2 packs, even though I think JP said in some vid that they don’t want to do 2 packs yet. With all the tag teams and factions, it would take forever to make some people. Dedicate Unmatched to 2 packs of teams and partial factions and that frees up Unrivaled for singles and the women.

I'm glad they're releasing another Cody Rhodes and Kenny Omega. Having only started collecting wrestling figures recently, the AEW line is sold out of everyone except Dustin. Plus, I don't think the Series 1 Cody and Kenny figures looked very good from the final product photos I've seen. So hopefully they'll have been able to make future figures better. For the Kenny figure, I'm hoping it's the grey tights with the yellow designs. As for Cody, I'd honestly be happy with any attire.
Honestly, those two are the only ones I'm interested in for Series 4.

This is the first time they've been made since Series 1, which JP will be the first to admit was a disaster. This will likely be the first time collectors young and old will be seeing Cody & Omega in stores. It's ok. We're talking 4 of the 6 being first time figures. That's an awesome ratio. JP JUST said that there will even be a second line that will be used to get more people on the roster made. Take a deep breath. Everything's peachy. |

Jeremy has talked about how they want to do 2-packs, but that makes more sense for places like RSC where there's lower risk. Look at how poorly 2 packs have done at retail for Mattel, and they can't even get stores to carry the line for the past two years. As a new brand/product, it could be a disaster if the product didn't do well. So $20 price point is much lower risk. |
