Hey all, Making Kayfabe is back for its 3rd season, and today we kicked things off by re-booking Luke Harper's run in WWE. We argue what could have kept Harper from requesting his release, what would've happened if he was given his own "family" to lead, an eventual feud with Bray Wyatt, and more. If you haven't listened to our show before, we are two writers/comedians who dive into pro wrestling's biggest missed opportunities, and try to re-book them in a way that makes sense.

Found the first episode of this so I could go through it properly. Starting with 2011 CM Punk, wow, big guns off the bat.
Anyway, welcome to my take on this. My pilot of doing something serious where I give the readers on this site something to bite into while they wait for my other content. As usual it'll be my take on things in wrestling. Not necessarily "missed opportunities", but "what if" scenarios. Something everyone may not know about me is that I have a history background. I love the history of everything in the world, so this is going to be quite textbook, I would say.
Today, "the best in the world" C.M. Punk. Sort of well into his WWE run by this point, but, as we all know, he explodes in 2011, despite being the World Champion of ECW already at this point. June, July, and August of 2011, which is also well passed his time in ROH and NWA/TNA. So, this is all going to be very much the way it went in real life so far. It worked and was something that a lot of people liked the way it was.
June 20th 2011 (Power to the People) RAW: Falls Count Anywhere match to determine a #1 contender to John Cena's championship between del Rio, Punk, and Mysterio. Punk pins del Rio and is now the #1 contender, then everything plays out the exact same way until the RAW after MITB.
This RAW will feature CM Punk giving John Cena his rematch. Punk retains and Cena inadvertently helps Punk retain again after del Rio cashes in. Cena and Punk shake hands, but then Zack Ryder rushes down and lays all three of them out. Ryder raises both the Internet and WWE/F Championship as RAW closes.
