I don’t think it’s been confirmed that we’re definitely getting Vega in E84. But if we did I think it would be great that a figure got released instead of just scrapped with nothing replacing it. Definitely wouldn’t suck.

If they release Vega then it makes no sense as to why they shouldn't have released Itami, they already finished it and showed us the figure. Mattel should have a clause in their contract that allows figures to be released of wrestlers that left; as long as the figure was already created for production and release.

There are a bunch of things that can factor in. Vega's release was involuntary, so she's probably still under contract for 90 days. WWE releases aren't immediate like a normal job - they're basically "you're fired in 90 days" notices that continue to pay the downside guarantee, but they aren't booked for shows.
KENTA requested his release and it was granted, so they may have waived the 90 day and released him from his contract immediately. I can't remember what the timeline was from him leaving to his next match.

That whole NXT line essentially got scrapped didn’t it? Titus is just now getting released in the Rumble line, Andrade was released as an RSC Exclusive, and Roddy was repainted for E82.
Maybe thats the difference, E84 is still being released where as that whole line needed to be moved around and they didn’t need to fit Itami in a line anymore since he was gone.
