When Morrison’s entrance goes into slow motion during his entrance, I can’t wrap my head around that in a live production. I know the shows have a few minutes delay anyway, but does his entrance delay the feed further? I can’t figure how the feed would catch up
A weird question 😅

They just do the slow motion effect on the one camera but he moves in normal pace, when they switch cameras he is typically partially down the entrance way.

I never noticed haha, that makes sense. 😋👍 I’m watching Elimination Chamber 2010 and it had me thinking. You don’t see a live event cut to slow motion in real time. It got me thinking haha |

Yea hitman hit the nail on the head. They always cut away from his entrance after the slow-mo is done (whether its fans or opponents or what not) and then when they cut back to him its regular speed.

I’ve seen it live a bunch of times. It’s kinda funny watching him just stand in that pose for a couple moments with a big fan blowing. I’m not sure if it’s a totally different camera. I think a lot of cameras have the capability to switch modes and can do a slow motion filter. Probably still need a cut to not make it seem so jarring for the viewer though.
Speaking of cameras, this weekend I read WWE started using 8k cameras on Smackdown. I wasn’t paying attention then, but I definitely noticed it on RAW when Woods was coming out. I think they’re only using one at this point, because I only noticed a difference when they were pointing at the entrance and the colors were bright.

I feel like they almost never get the timing right on the slow-mo since he returned. It was perfectly in sync with his movements before, but now it seems like it never is. And when Miz does his old Miz dance thing, it’s way out of sync with both Morrison and the slow-mo.
Also, on the subject of entrances, AJ Styles makes me laugh every time. The little head-down pose and shake he does before he pops up and takes the hood off looks like a low-level Super Mario enemy. I don’t even remember when he started doing it, but it cracks me up every time.
