I want to watch, but I don’t know if I can justify the $50 price tag to do so...someone sway me either way.

Watching the countdown special. So hyped.
These specials are always so good. For what feels like the millionth time with this company, I've got goosebumps again.

* rumor is the street fight is cinematic.
I'm fine with it personally. Makes sense for the Stanger, and showing it second last gives them time to setup the barbwire etc.

They’re gonna need some time to set up that match. As long as it isn’t goofy, I guess I’m ok with cinematic matches. I hope I don’t regret posting this later...

Plus side about the street fight being filmed already is we know Sting stayed safe and nothing went wrong.

Little let down that the Stingers match is a pre taped outing and not and actual in ring match up.But If its anything like Taker/Styles should still be good. Also still strongly feel Sting will have a least one if not a few more proper in ring matches live and in front of fans.Having a cinema match up as his first outing is probably the safest and smarts move plus not much of a crowd for him to showcase what he truly has left in the tank.
As far as the surprise debuts tonight going to double down on Christian & CM Punk.Christian in the ladder match and Punk as the bigger surprise.Just feel like its finally time for him to return and after so many years he seems really open to it.Plus Khan has stated when AEW was and idea and the roster was just forming he wanted Jericho,Omega,Cody,Young Bucks & Punk as the foundation and got everyone but Punk,he doesn't seem like a guy to give up on something like that.

I think it's all in the presentation. I enjoyed the cinematic matches Impact did, but haven't been a fan of most of WWE's aside from Taker/AJ. Considering that AEW hired Impact's production team, I'm cautiously optimistic. It's an easy way to protect Sting. And with the limited audience, if he does have any live matches I'd rather they be in front of a full house.

Side note from the second half of that; do you think when booking the year Punk was originally intended for what became Moxley's spot and storyline? It would certainly make sense.

I just can’t see Punk signing right after saying that AEW needs to focus on the guys they have. I’m sure money talks but sharing a locker room with his former best friend who tried to sue him seems unlikely too.
