Toy collectors are the most ridiculous people. “Mattel doesn’t listen to the customers.” We literally have Mattel employees to interact with and to ask whatever we want. Granted you crybabies bullied one into leaving. Legend collectors constantly complaining despite the insane amount of legends figures we’ve gotten. Blaming Mattel for distribution despite it being on the stores, who are paying to have these series exclusive to them. They didn’t need to bring back the Legends line. Complaining they aren’t making people who aren’t even signed. I mean, we get a hell of a lot of Warriors, and we will probably get as many Hogans, but lose your damn minds because they aren’t the Warriors or Hogans you want. Just constant bitching. Haha Devil's advocate for a moment... 1) I would hardly call Bill's departure "bullying". It was maybe crossing a line to question his effort as the OP in that post did, but someone in his position should have thicker skin tbh. All moot at this point though as AFA has taken over the role. 2) Mattel didn't bring back the Legends line as some thank you gesture... it was done so because it financially and strategically made sense to do so at this point. If and when they stop hitting their profit margins on them, they'll cancel it. 3) I do agree that the "distribution" card gets overplayed. Especially with the original Legends line. Yes they were overproduced... but Mattel has a knack for kicking off inaugural lines with TERRIBLE choices. They've had several lines launch DOA because of their lineup choices. 4) Mattel does give us a lot. But man they up a lot too. Inexcusable ups too. Undertaker and Kane's laced boots. Wrong hair colors (in spite of the artwork on the package being correct). Shawn Michaels face sculpts (all trash except WM 14). Terrible choices for Fan Takeover voting. The aforementioned inaugural lines kicking off with lackluster lineups. Dropping the ball on getting necessary figures out (no Team Xtreme Hardys, no Attitude Dudleys, poor execution on Sting, getting American Made Hogan before Hollywood, etc). Failing again at an Elite scale ring. Etc. 5) It's a forum. Bitching is part of the process. And honestly, I'd take the bitching over the apologists who attempt to defend the inexcusable from Mattel. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! Whole lotta truth in this post.

I'm much more likely to purchase that Cena than I am a WM8 Hogan, so I don't mind.

Since we’re talking legends lineups, I gotta say it one more time that those original lineups are so bonkers even 11 years later. As a kid it didn’t bother me especially since I never had Jakks figures of many of the people in those first 6 series, but looking back on them they are very strange. Not even talking attires, just the actual people in the sets. Series 3 is the only one that makes sense to me and even then Rock should’ve been in series 1.
It doesn’t matter now tho, we have them again and I’ve enjoyed the revival run so far. Still disappointed about Sting but I’m hoping AEW do that attire eventually. The only figure I don’t like is blue Beefcake coming with the yellow jacket.
Hogan and Savage are probably the next anchor figures for 11 & 12. I think we’re due for a new 1st time figure in 11, AFA said they’re coming at some point.

I don’t mind no Hogan being in the line so far but I’ll be upset if that NWO Hogan they released the renders of never gets made. I don’t want the ultimate edition as I don’t really like them. Just give it to me in elite form

Also this is the first Hogan since he got taken off the no fly list. Also also how do you know they’re not making elite Hogans?

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!! You forgot the wcw Jericho, demo crush over Kona crush, the natural dusty Rhodes never being made, same old roddy pipers when there’s others that can be done that’s actually different, berserker in blue (may be just me, but when I think of berserker I see brown attire) , the green dress Elizabeth over numerous of better options I could probably go on for days. Just don’t understand sometimes.

I guess they couldnt get Randy Savage or Ultimate Warrior in time for that wave. The Legends Tag Team lineup was a real headscratcher. When I think of legendary tag teams, The Bushwhackers, Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff and Rowdy Roddy Piper & Cowboy Bob Orton sure as hell dont come to mind. All those figures now are expensive on ebay, go figure.

I think we’ll be seeing quite a few Hogan figs real soon. Maybe that Hogan will be moved to the regular elite line so it’s not a bitch to track down. Maybe E85 or 86! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

While I don't understand or agree with abandoning all hope because you don't get a reveal you were hoping for, I can understand the frustration of not getting figures or versions of wrestlers that seem like no-brainers. I'd say it's pretty undeniable that there have been mistakes made (by our standards) by delaying or waiting on figures or versions of certain wrestlers, some of them irreversible mistakes (like Sting), so it's not baseless to show that concern. I chalk it up to me truly not understanding just how much current wrestlers sell. So many slots taken up with Reigns and Rollins and Styles and Balor and Strowman and on and on. Those must be the no-brainers for Mattel/WWE, though, while slotting in Hogan and Macho Man and Warrior three times a year must be the riskier move. Finally, I want to say that if Hogan is Ultimate Edition-exclusive, that will suck a bit, as preorders are woeful and/or overpriced, they're so hard to find at retail, and they're insanely expensive aftermarket. First world problems, I know, but this is a collector forum.

Give me a Mega Powers 2-Pack and whatever Hogan Tribute (maybe a four pack) Mattel is planning and I’d be thrilled.

Saying someone in charge of making toys should have thicker skin, when toy collectors obviously don’t is funny.

Saying someone in charge of making toys should have thicker skin, when toy collectors obviously don’t is funny. Uh what? No it isn't funny at all. It's completely factual. The maker should have thicker skin. Just like a CEO should have thicker skin against those who criticize his/her product or company. Just like an athlete should have thicker skin against fans who bash him/her. Just like movie stars should have thicker skin from critics who bash their performance and behaviors. What part of this are you missing? lol I love you.

Rumors and placeholders should never be considered as fact. Sometimes they come true, sometimes they don’t. Stuff gets shuffled around all the time for various reasons. Just because it didn’t come out in this lineup doesn’t necessarily mean there no plans to release it somewhere else. Or just because it was a placeholder at some point doesn’t mean there was ever any real intentions of releasing it. Every leak should be taken with a grain of salt until there’s an official announcement from Mattel. That’s the best way to avoid getting your feelings hurt over a particular toy.
