(Foley confronts Hall backstage and demands the belt, as Hall lost on Raw. Hall reminds him that he was neither pinned nor submitted, and thus didn't lose the belt under Foley's stipulation. Unless Foley is going to give HBK's belt to Steiner, they're done talking. Foley admits that Hall has a point. But since that's Hall wants to play it, the main event will be Hall v Michaels in a lumberjack match. We cut to the parking lot, where we see officials around a car, where Kane has been put through the windshield. They attend to him as the Smackdown into starts, with Rise Up. Coming to the ring, we are told that we will start off with Scott Steiner v Chris Benoit, two men furious over how bad their weeks have been. There is nothing pretty about the match, as they immediately lay into each other. Benoit chops so hard he leaves Steiner's chest bloody, and Steiner's clotheslines are so stiff, Benoit gets whiplash. The two men take turns suplexing each other all over the ring. For a second, it seems Benoit has the upper hand, but when he goes for the Diving Headbutt, Steiner recovers, runs to the top and gives him a snap belly to belly superplex. Locking in the Steiner Recliner, Benoit has no choice but to tap.)
(Backstage, Joe is preparing to talk about his Royale Rumble loss when Senshi attacks him out of nowhere. Staff quickly separate them, but Joe is heard screaming that he'll kill Senshi as we come back to the ring.)
(We have a rematch of John Cena and A-Train, but this time, the announcers tell us Cena has barred DiBiase from ringside. Without distractions, he is able to survive A-Trains arsenal and hit the FU three times for the victory in record time.)
(When we come back from commercial, they announce a #1 Contenders match for the US Title. Jeff Hardy is already in the ring, with Lita at ringside. When Alpha Male's them hits, and he makes his way out, R-Truth blindsides him. They brawl into the back. At first, it seems that Hardy will win by default, but then Godfather's music plays and JR tells the crowd there has been a last minute substitution. He dances to the ring with Alexa Bliss in tow.
Godfather ties up with Hardy, grounding him, but eventually Hardy is able to reverse a whip into a Whisper in the Wind. It's not enough to keep Godfather down, so he goes for the Swanton, but Godfather gets the knees up. He lifts Hardy into the Pimp Drop, but Lita distracts him before he can pin. Bliss yanks her off the apron. Hardy tries for the Twist of Fate, but Godfather pushes him into a corner, hits the Ho Train and gets the victory.)
(Backstage Psychosis challenges Tajiri to a match.)
(Brock Lesnar faces off with Batista. The two are evenly matched, with neither able to overpower the other. Lesnar catches him in rolling Germans, but lets it go when the New Bloods come running down. Before they can jump him, Goldberg comes to his partner's aid and chases them off. Batista tries to capitalize on the distraction to hit Brock with knucks, but Lesnar catches him in the F5 instead. The ref only counts to two then stops, though Batista hasn't kicked out. When Lesnar starts to complain, the ref superkicks him, hits the FameAsser and rolls Batista on top of him for the pin. The ref celebrates up the ramp with Batista as Lesnar fumes.)
(Backstage, Sabin has an interview where he states that he feels it is time that the X Division is about the X Division again, not simply guys who are too small to fight for the Heavyweight title, but guys who embody no limits. So there will be four contests to see who will fight for the title and Bound For Glory, with all four men getting their shot. The interviewer asks him about what happened with Shark Boy. He apologizes again for his actions and says that things often get crazy in matches like that. People get carried away and do things in the moment without considering the consequences. He hopes Shark Boy can forgive him.)
(Kurt Angle tells the World's Greatest Tag Team to finish the job and cripple Terkay and Burke tonight. We go the the ring where the two teams face off. At first Terkay and Burke operate like a well oiled machine, dissecting Benjamin and keeping him from Haas. But in desperation, Benjamin gets a Dragon Whip in and tags in Haas. WGTT then use quick tags to wear down Burke, goading Terkay to let them cheap shot Burke. Infuriated, Terkay stalks around the ring to pull Benjamin off the apron and suplex him into the crowd, which distracts Haas long enough for Burke to stun him and get a tag. Terkay delivers a nasty Cobra Clutch Suplex before Burke delivers the BurkeBreaker (DDE). Locking him in a combination armbreaker/sharpshooter, Terkay leaves him with no choice but to tap.)
(As Raven introduces Umaga as his newest weapon against Kane, the Big Red Machine surprises everyone by attacking both men. He and Umaga brawl in the training room, until the lights go out. When they come back on, Kane is facedown. Umaga, winded and disheaveled, picks him up, delivers the Samoan Spike and drops to a knee over his victim, exhausted but victorious.)
(Shark Boy joins the announce team for the Sabin/Hurricane match. As the two take turns hitting a few high risk moves before the other ounters and takes control briefly, JR and Tenay ask Shark Boy about Sabin's explanation. He said the apology is obviously BS to SB, as if Sabin was truly sorry, he'd have given him a rematch already. But he understands the impulsive move without thinking, as he's having one of those now. Sabin is able to dodge the Overcast, but Shark Boy grabs his leg preventing him from following up. As he distracts him, Hurricane gets a Shining Wizard and Vertibreaker for the win.)
(Backstage HBK convinces Jericho and AJ Styles to be lumberjacks.)
(Funaki announces in the ring that Tajiri is not ready to wrestle tonight and that there needs to be a substitution. Akio will take Tajiri's spot. Psychosis comes down and gets in Tajiri's face, only to get misted and given a nasty kick to the head. He rolls him into the rung where Akio dominates him for a quick win.)
(Backstage, Hogan attacks RVD, whipping him with his belt, weakening him before his match. Donning brass knucks, he pounds on his ribs.)
(Rhyno calls out the Dudleyz to join him against Johnny Nitro and the Gymini w. Mercury. Before the match starts, Rhyno announces that there is a special guest ref, and calls out Animal. Nitro's side tries to single out D-Von, but Animal is too techbnical on his calls to let them. Ultimately, Jake Gymini gets too distracted with arguing with Animal to notice Rhyno tag in against Bubba, and gets a Gore, followed by a super quick count, making it impossible to kick out. As Rhyno and the Dudleyz celebrate on the ring, MNM announce they want Rhyno at Bound for Glory for the Intercontinental title.)
(After the commercial, Edge comes out for his match with RVD. RVD limps out, holding his ribs from the earlier assault. JR notes that medics tries to cancel or postpone the match, but RVD wouldn't hear of it. Though RVD fights valiently, he keeps faltering from his injuries. Eventually Edge hits a devastating spear into the hurt ribs for the win.)
(We have a recap of the assault after Hall's victory over HHH, and the corresponding attack on HBK after he gets DQed against Steiner, followed by the non-finish in the Elite v nWo three on three match. A dozen superstars handpicked by HBK surround the ring for the HBK/Hall match. HBK takes the fight to Hall, only to have him try to escape. But the stars on the side of the ring beat the hell out of him and toss him back in. HBK tosses him out each of the other sides to repeat the process. After Hall has the living hell beat out of him, receiving multiple finishers, Michaels hits the Sweet Chin Music and gets the pin. )
