Been a while since these have been talked about on here, so why not toss up a thread. A few weeks ago I got crazy lucky and came upon an Iron Sheik pencil topper, the torso-only piece with a hole in the bottom to stick onto a pencil. I believe I've only seen 1 or 2 of those in the past 20 years, so being able to finally get one as close to "in the wild" as today's standard are likely to allow, was awesome. It's cool on its own, but the fact that it differs from the regular Sheik eraser (1 arm down, like the LJN) makes it so much better. If that wasn't enough, I got lucky enough to catch a recent auction for a group of MOC figures. While I didn't care to have the common figures, nor did I need the Richter that was included, it had the rare Piper. I had a MOC Piper years ago, and sold it when I found a loose example. The MOC one has since made its way into a famous collection. I was happy w/my loose one and actually picked this up to help move it to a deserving home, but it's not looking too promising since I didn't get this for peanuts in the first place. Sooo for now he sits with the rest of my collection, pictured below. I don't need a loose and MOC piece, but I'm not upset by it either. Time will tell. Anyway, here's everything together, along with an old shoebox (empty) that came along w/the latest purchase and has some cool artwork. I have literally nowhere to put that thing, so if anyone is interested please say so

Whoa, they still have some of these things MOC lying around? The erasers never really erased. I only recall having a Hulk as a kid, and he was mint so I must have never tried! The person I got them from kept them MOC from childhood, and stored them in the shoebox. I wish the shoes were still there, my son would absolutely be wearing them soon MOC examples of some of these pop up a lot, but the rare ones are of varying difficulties to ever even see. There's a JYD pencil topper which I think I've only ever see once. I'd love to dig up one of those.

Wow! Love the collection. Lots of great stuff in there. Rock n wrestling era or mid 84-WM3 is my favorite era of wrestling. I never knew they made rock n wrestling shoes!

Very nice! Are the pencil toppers by Winston Toys as well? Yes. They came in combo packs with a mechanical pencil, such as this (not mine). Also in the pic is a pencil 2-pack w/o any figures, but personally I have to draw the line somewhere - LOL If you look closely at the MOC figures I have, some of them have references to the pencils, and how to use the mechanical feature of them, printed onto the card. Some people think those are errors since those figures didn't come with pencils, but I "think" that's probably just due to different design releases over time. Like the arms-up Hulk, the backing card is plain cardboard instead of the full color/glossy 6-back that everyone else has. I assume this was the original release, then they changed it and went with the arms-down Hulk +full color/glossy back. Now that I look at them, they also are the only ones I have which have a "non-toxic eraser" sticker, too. I also noticed he actual pencils in the photo above doesn't even have the reference to how to use the mechanical pencil (must be on the back?). One other interesting note that is obvious once you see it, but I don't recall anyone mentioning, is the card artwork on these is the same for the earliest release of LJN Bendies w/the cartoon ring. It's always been an item of speculation whether or not Winston Toys was involved w/LJN, but I suspect Vince owned the trademark to the "Wrestling Superstars" and corresponding artwork, and just used it on varying merchandise from different manufacturers. You see the same logos used on all sorts of random mfr items from those days.
