Waiting for the day where every figure ends up on Amazon. Feel like it’s slowly happening too, they’ve gotten a lot of stuff recently
The problem is, those will be even EASIER for scalpers to get, unless people put limits on. I missed the new retro Obi Wan Star Wars by a few hours on Amazon -- now it's gone. We know what's gonna happen with those. People bought tons, and are gonna jack up the price. Total busllhit

When you guys say your stores never got them, did you check a different store or two everyday To find them? If not then you’re not psycho enough for this hobby. The only new figure I haven’t seen recently is Spider Gwen from Into the Spider Verse. I guess because she comes with the pig? Idk... This isn't directed towards you, but I see a lot of people on social media basically making the argument that "pay scalper prices or get out of the game" or "you have to show how dedicated you are" to collect. And it's such a toxic mentality. Especially for an industry that are supposed to cater to children who can't exactly go to the store whenever they please, and adult collectors who (usually) have jobs and families. These are mass market toys. The expectation shouldn't be that we need compulsively check stores hoping for the privilege of lucky timing to buy a toy. The impetus should lie on manufacturers and retailers to to a) order sufficient quantities to meet demand and b) have something resembling logical distribution and timelines with decent marketing and communication to their customer base.
This is put SO WELL -- it should be a pinned post on here.

Putting figures online doesnt solve the problem and often times exacerbates it. You have thousands of people and possibly bots descending on the same website at the same time and the stock is gone in literally seconds. |

I’d rather have the SKU for the Mania figures. There’d be no confusion about whether or not a store is 6+ from the last shipper of DOD.
