I think they will hold some value for sure. Just like everything else that has a demand.

It'll depend on repaints, I think. The more Moxleys and Jerichos and Codys and Bucks on the shelves in future waves, the less valuable those early versions will be. With the weird skin tones and questionable scales and good-but-not-great accessories. The roster isn't that deep, after all. How much are early Roman Reigns figures going for on the secondary market?

Jazwares is likely to release tons of figures of guys like Jericho, Omega, Cody and the Bucks, so that’s probably not going to help the value on them.

I bought the first 2 series because I was excited we had a new line of figures, now I’ve lost interest in them. Was just thinking if i should sell now or wait a while

I’m just really tired of people being like “ooh I’m gonna collect these just to sell for money because I’m greedy and nothing brings me real joy” I’d say wait. Elite 1 is worth a lot now, as was Classic Superstars 1 back when people could stomach looking at Jakks

absolutely wait. more of them are getting taken out of package each day.
I don't collect to sell but I also don't really want to damage figures that are expensive to obtain. it's a form of an investment, rather you cash in on it later or not.

The first 10 series (depending on who obviously) are definitely going to be high in price within the next few years. I feel like since AEW has brought A LOT of people back into wrasslin again, there's gonna be a lot more older people buying these figures again.

It is certainly an interesting topic for sure. I initially went into collecting AEW figs because it reminded me of the old Jakks figures and made me feel nostalgic, but then I realized I could make money off it as well as a back up if I needed. Its pretty cool collecting what you like and knowing its also worth something if you need to sell it for whatever reason. Most people I speak to laugh at me for "collecting toys". As soon as I say how much the figures sell for they immediately become interested and start asking "how much is this one worth" etc, etc. Will they hold onto the current value? I would say that depends on AEWs long term success, but I want TH2 figures, so I am waiting it out.

I am so sorry that the people around you have no grasp of the concept of intrinsic value or the fact that individuals have the autonomy to assign value to items beyond what they are told by supposed institutions of power. I know that wasn't your point, but I get so sick of people acting like money is everything. It isn't. Yes life is easier when you have the means, but excess is not the virtue people think it is.

I hate the scalpers who have basically ruined this line for those of us who would just like to have some nice figures to pose and enjoy.
I have been sitting on a Road Warrior Animal figure that I had up for sale for a modest price, but then he passed so I took it down out of respect. Out of principle. And I say that as someone who needed that money. Even pittance makes a difference for me these days and I get people flipping items for a small profit or selling a collectable after actually enjoying it for several years, but most of these people have gone straight to the end game of charging 600 dollars for a damn moxley figure. It's ludicrous. And I don't even want a moxley figure and I think it's ridiculous.
