Man that was a fantastic episode. I didn't post much in here since my feed was like 4 minutes delayed today, but I thoroughly enjoyed that.
I should know by now to trust the booking on the tag division. The Young Bucks like entire purpose in wrestling is to make tag team wrestling a priority, so I should probably trust their judgement on the MJF/Jericho call. But holy hell was I hot at that finish. I'll try to give it a fair shot though.
I'm so done with the Sting/Darby/Taz recurring groundhog day segments. Literally every week is the same and I'm 100% ready to move the eff on from that. They gotta know that's getting stale.
Thunder Rosa/Britt Baker was fantastic as expected. Britt has gotten really good in the ring, and Rosa is solid as hell. I'd actually be down for them to get paired in the 1st round of the tournament for the rematch, quick as that would be.
Speaking of, that tournament. Wow. A couple Japanese women I'm not familiar with (Though a quick google is telling me to expect good things from Veny or whatever her name was). But Maki Effing Itoh. Holy hell. I've said it before and been wrong everytime, but I really think this may be the true turning point for the division. They've got plenty of women that can work now, and they're starting to get some real stories and feuds going. Excited to get Penelope back in the story scene with the wedding wrapped up, and super excited for when Statlander can come back finally. Very telling that Shanna did not make the cut for the tournament. Curious where they go with her from here.
I'll continue to wait patiently on Hangman, I know his title moment will come when it's right. Favourite guy in the business.
Lumberjack match was a lumberjack match, but I liked setting up Bear Country vs. Butcher & Blade there. If there's gonna be those dumb lumberjack shenanigans may as well setup a good match out of it.
Wedding was surprisingly good, and it's super cool that they actually got married there. What a kick in the pants it would be if Kip ended up getting let go soon lol. I don't think Tony would have greenlit that wedding if he didn't want to keep them both for long term though.
Main event was an absolute banger as expected.
Did I seriously get both Maki Itoh and Kenta in the same night!?!
