Noticed this issue a few times, A thread that has the potential for good discussion or whatever is de railed by certain members and then the thread is locked.
Seems unfair that those of us who just genuinely want to be peaceful members of the WFigs community lose out on discussion because you get the same few people crap talking and causing arguments, do mods still give out warning bars or crack out the ban hammer? Because it seems like we have quite a few repeat offenders and nothing gets done but threads locked.
The WWE section of this forum is a ghost of what it was 10 years ago, I feel its because people don't want to post and have people belittle them for trying to get conversation going.
Sorry if this is the wrong section.

Certain threads that lean towards sensitive topics such as religion, gender, politics and so on will get locked. These are sensitive issues that need not be discussed on a wrestling figure forum. Sure we have other boards that allow other topics but for sensitive topics, especially the way things are nowadays, we do not need any negativity here. If anyone is looking for that type of discussion you need not look far as it's all over the internet on other forums and social media. Also the mods and admins have lives aside from here, jobs, families and so on. We do not have time to babysit posts on a constant basis... (even though I do anyway).
With that said, we also just do not ban people for their opinions. If it crosses the line, trolling, fighting, aggressiveness, etc, we do warn or ban. We also just don't just lock threads for no reason.
You mention 10 years ago things were different, I could not agree more. People were not so sensitive as they are now. You should see some of the post reports that have no merit whatsoever. Sometimes I may just delete the individual post if it seems that it may be even a little offensive but again doesn't mean that person should be warned or banned just because someone else was offended over someone's differing opinion.
I hope that helps you understand. Thanks! JS

They definitely still give out warning bars. I recently got one for a reply I made that was 6 months old.

I definitely stopped posting in the WWE section several months ago because of how toxic it is. Full of the same people who don't want to hear any differing opinions; they're just out to belittle people who don't share theirs. Felt a bit pointless clicking on any thread in that board when it seemed like half of the posts were hidden for me from having blocked certain members. Not only that, but the constant sheer disrespect towards pro wrestlers is disgusting. As far as I'm concerned - unless they've done something problematic - every wrestler deserves respect just for what they do.
Honestly, wrestling fans' worst enemies are other wrestling fans. Some fandoms are particularly toxic, but pro wrestling seems to be much more so than any other fandom I've engaged in. These days I'm happy to not have to pay attention to the utter crap of wrestling fans crapting on wrestlers who are risking their health to entertain them. I'm content to just come here, check out Figure Findings and Buying/Ordering/Receiving threads in the UK board, as well as any WWE or AEW figure news in their respective boards, and that's it.
Sorry if the mini-rant went off-track there. Just thought it was relevant to the OP's point about the WWE board.

Things get locked here due to things being out of control. Politics, dating advice, religion those threads usually don't end very well here. Bumping years old threads also has a tendency of getting locked

There are many post reports that are just plain ridiculous where people are just way too sensitive or they just like complaining for no reason. Those are ignored. It's a balance that has to be maintained and it's not easy to appease everyone but we try our best.

People complaining about what they read on here makes me wonder how they make it through a youtube comment section? A worldstar comment section?

There's so much inconsistency in the moderation on this forum it's baffling. I'm getting posts deleted because there's a single censored word in them in the aew section, meanwhile mods in the WWE section can have multiple in theirs.
