Kofi Kingston. I can't buy him as a main eventer especially when his opponents were bigger than him. He's 6 foot. He's bigger then most grown men. 6 ft and about 212 isn't little. For sure he's not the biggest dude. But; Kofi with a bunch of causal man around is bigger then them. And he's suppose to play that high flying underdog to a extent. So I don't see why people complain so much. Rollins before bulking up; was pretty leaned out and the same build as Kofi. But no one wanted to see a big issue in Rollins.

Miz - if he weren’t the ultimate “yes” man he’d have been gone from any other promotion after a few years tops. Guy is the definition of a midcarder and I never bought him in the main event.
Swagger - I thought he was actually solid in the ring back then but he couldn’t talk to save his life, so logically the WWE tried to make him a goofy champ similar to Kurt 10 years earlier. Had he had Zeb as his mouthpiece when he was the WHC I think things would have gone better but as it is his run sucked.
Jinder - career jobber to WWE Champ in weeks. Terrible in the ring and ok on the mic but nothing that stood out. His in-ring skills made JBL look like Rey Mysterio.
Del Rio - boring. I never got the appeal of him and always tuned out when he was champ.
Rey Mysterio - I think Rey could have been a solid world champ, but the way he was booked for all 3 of his reigns was a joke. His first WHC reign was booked to make him look like a joke at every turn.
Yoko - as a character, I loved Yoko, but his matches were beyond terrible if he wasn’t working with Bret and he wasn’t built as a credible champ at all.
Slaughter - career midcarder who benefitted from an actual war. Went right back to nothing after dropping the belt. Bad in the ring as well.
The Great Khali - no explanation needed lol.
These guys come to mind right away for me.

No one comes close to Del Rio. The guy didn't draw a dime, his matches were boring and no one cared about him. I remember meeting him at a Toys R Us signing and he was just horrible. He wore a cap pointing down so you couldn't see his face and he didn't speak a word to anyone. I knew the store manager at the time and he said that he was plain rude with the staff.
He just sucked.

Del Rio was absolutely awful. He had a cool entrance, but that was it.
Sheamus was pretty bad, but at least he got better and I think he comes across as a good main event guy now.
Swagger, Kofi, Drew, JBL, Khali and Authority Rollins all kinda sucked too.

I've never seen anyone come close to how bad Khali was as a main-eventer, unless we're talking weird outliers like David Arquette.

I've never seen anyone come close to how bad Khali was as a main-eventer, unless we're talking weird outliers like David Arquette. Every time he took a step I was afraid one of his legs would snap. It was scary how big Khali’s torso was and how skinny his legs were, every with those baggy pants he wore. If a guy can barely walk without falling over you know it’s going to be a bad run no matter where you are on the card. Some fans say Cena got some good matches out of him in 2007 but even those were beyond awful.

I LOVE Batista but he doesn’t come close to Cena. Neither were bad main eventers as both drew like crazy, were insanely over, and had ton of classics. In-ring wise I’d put prime Batista over prime Cena. Batista actually had ring psychology down (he did learn from two of the best). He knew how to build a match, make it logical by focusing on specific body parts, and could sell with the best of them. His matches with Triple H, Taker, Edge, Mysterio, and Eddie prove this (you can say all of those guys are great in the ring but it takes two to tango).
