No votes. Results have been simulated. Thanks to dcw1 for the image. WWX Xplosion August 23rd, 2021
Senshi makes his way down to the ring. Senshi: “ Tonight, I get the opportunity to make history and make a statement all at the same time. Schiavone has finally given me the chance to show all of you who I am….but in order to do it I must face down one of the biggest obstacles of my career. I have the chance to be named the first ever WWX King of the Ring, but standing in my way, is the phenom, the deadman, The Undertaker. The crowd cheers him on. Thank you. Thank you…..or I could lose this match and go back to chasing after the Openweight Championship. Or I can finally give you all the answer, the decision, that I have been putting off for far too long, right now. That decision is of course…."Spike Dudley: “ Woah, woah, woah. Senshi. I would choose your next words, very….very carefully. Because what you say next, could affect your entire future, but also the future of the divisions which you competed in…or set fire to. Not to mention my future. So, look, underdog to underdog, allow me to share what I’ve learned with you. And I only have your best interests in mind here. I say, take this loss to The Undertaker on the chin, take some time off. Go back to TNA. Go back to the WWF. You said it yourself, The Undertaker is the biggest test that could possibly be put in front of you, and, even if you beat him, you think you will be the first King of the Ring? Just stay away from Xplosion. Because, if you do, and you get in my way, then I’m going to have to a bit out of character and respond in a way that I never have before. It will make what I did to Sonjay Dutt look like I did him a favor. Making myself look better at someone else’s expense is what I know. I mean this is Xplosion, this isn’t Domination, this ring is different and you have to be a certain breed to be in it. I have to change everything people think they know about Spike Dudley. So much so, that I come out here and I get in the face of someone who gets to be in the Main Event and tell him that he shouldn’t be there. Listen, every time I have been in any ring, I have been discounted, I have been the runt, not once did anyone think I would ever get above the ceiling they placed above me. I no longer am the runt, I’m coming for the title, the actual title, but also the world’s biggest little man title, and I understand that you are a warrior, only all of us are warriors, just fighting a different battle. Every word you say will change the response you get, and you are looking at a man who never got the chance to say what was really on his mind or anything for that matter. I have my chance now because I am giving it to myself, I'm not waiting for Schiavone like you, because I have been waiting for so long that I have a lot of important things to say that just can't wait anymore.” Senshi: “ Thank you. Because you just made this decision a whole lot easier. So, this is what I propose, next week, me and you, if you beat me, then you can be the first one to challenge Shawn Michaels at Gold Rush. My obstacle is The Undertaker, yours can be Michaels, let’s see if either of us can win when the lights are finally on bright.”
Senshi tackles him and delivers a standing moonsault. Senshi goes to make it two, but Dudley rolls out of the way only for Senshi to still catch him with a standing enziguri.
Virk: “Senshi missed his moonsault combo, but still stands tall as security comes down to hold these two back. Dudley is upset as he might not have achieved his goal of silencing his doubters in that exchange.” Ross: “ It appears that not only do we have people going for any title that they can get their hands on, but people want to change their image and fight to be the face of Xplosion, perhaps more than they want titles. Commercial break. We are back live in Greensboro, North Carolina where tonight the King of the Ring tournament continues with The Undertaker meeting Senshi in tonight’s main event. We found out that Johnny and, maybe Senshi, are going to be doggedly pursuing the World Junior Heavyweight Title from the Xplosion side of things for the time being.” Virk: “ No. No. We didn’t find out anything. Senshi just can’t seem to make up his mind. He wants the title, but..” Tenay: “ There we see Mitch and Mark Jindrak have taken a seat at ringside for this opening contest. I guess they’re big fans of their competition all of a sudden."*Spike Dudley demands they play his music, despite already being in the ring* Virk: “ Every time I see this man, I just can’t help but want to see Kane lay him out at the entrance ramp again and again. Here is somebody who has absolutely no fans.” Ross: “ And this idiot has requested, no demanded, to meet Sonjay Dutt tonight. It was roughly a month ago tonight when Sonjay Dutt was all set to win the Light Heavyweight Championship from John Morrison when, out of nowhere, Spike Dudley hit him with a superkick while the ref was down.” Tenay: “ It was that kick that not only cost Dutt the championship, but also put Spike Dudley next in line. Dudley gets that match with the champion, Morrison, at Gold Rush, apparently pending the results of his match next week with Senshi. Dudley could have just left it at that, but he wants to add insult to injury tonight. He’s lost it because he thinks he has so much to prove.” Virk: “ I thought Senshi could not make good decisions in life, but this guy..” Dudley: “ Finally, let's turn my attention to what I did to Sonjay Dutt, a victory for the underdog and everyone who has been told they shouldn’t even try to win a championship. I did what I did to Dutt…for all of you! And, yet, you continue to treat me like a common loser, just like you all. Clearly, this business needs to change. Allow me to take out the trash. Dutt’s peace and love campaign has no place in this ring. He took his chances for granted and that was unacceptable. He made this personal when he took my shot at the title for granted. I speak and fight for all of you because you don’t know what is in your best interests. Someone has to make this business just and fair. Someone has to change things and teach people, like Sonjay Dutt, the new way of things. I will put my body on the line to turn this business back into one which respects those who put the work in and respects the opportunities given to them. North Carolina, I am the champion you want and you agree with me each time you boo me!” *Dutt’s music hits* Roberts: “ The following contest is set for one fall, making his way to the ring, being accompanied by John Morrison and Melina, weighing in at 186lbs, Sonjay Dutt! And, already in the ring, weighing in at 154lbs, Spike Dudley!” Match 1: Spike Dudley vs. Sonjay Dutt (w/ John Morrison and Melina) Ross: “ I’m sure that GM Schiavone could not contain his laughter when he sanctioned this one.... Wait, what is this now?” Tenay: “ Mitch and Mark Jindrak have left their place at ringside and are beating down John Morrison.” Virk :” Dutt and Morrison get the better of Mitch and hit him with rights and lefts, pinballing him between them.” Ross: “ Dudley is trying to capitalize on the distraction from Jindrak and Mitch, but Dutt sees him and connects with a superkick. Dudley falls back into the turnbuckle and Dutt delivers a big splash knocking Dudley down to the mat. Dutt looks like he’s calling for a bronco buster, but Mitch and Jindrak come back looking for a double clothesline, only for Dutt to catch them both a springboard moonsault! Dutt tries the bronco buster again, but Dudley gets saved by Mitch and Jindrak, who pull him out of the ring and take him up the ramp.” Tenay: “ Well, Dudley’s leaving with his tail between his legs, accompanied by his new friends I guess, and this match is obviously not happening, meanwhile Morrison and Dutt appear to have come to some sort of agreement in the ring as they shake hands and Morrison heads back up the ramp with Melina and Dutt by his side.” No Contest
