Cezar looked sloppy at times, but nothing about that pump handle which injured Cody seemed like like it was particularly Cezar's fault. more that it was a dumb move which directly makes the shoulder likely for injury. so fault lands on them both I'd say, if not moreso Cody for okaying it. Just more than maybe two weeks out from Cody’s biggest match of his career (to the mainstream audience) maybe he shouldn’t be in there with a “project” guy. It’s ok to just cut a few promos, maybe just squash Jack evans or Angelico or a vet who knows how to work it safe. |

Just caught up and watched last night's show. Thought it was pretty good. The future is just very bright for AEW. So much going on, so much potential. Thought the main event was great. It just had that old school brawl vibe to it...

He was barely buzzed, not "blackout drunk." It's a terrible idea for a segment because there's was no way to pull off what they're doing. On top of that, a drunk contract signing? Hardy says he wants this on video so Page can't back out after CLEARLY trying to load him with alcohol? The camera actually disqualifies the contract and doesn't help Hardy at all. It in fact "hurts him." This was amateur. Also Hardy's a total carny, that's the other story. He's not worried about hangman being drunk voiding a contract. No different than the amount of crap slumlords pull that would never really fly in court. They pulled it off just fine. And that's exactly my point because Matt Hardy (and nobody else) would think Adam Page, at that moment in time, was completely piss drunk. Are we supposed to believe that Matt Hardy doesn't know the difference between buzzed and blackout drunk? Or are we supposed to believe that Matt Hardy is a fool for thinking that a guy that's still able to sit upright and talk is completely piss drunk? |

I thought it was obvious Hangman knew Matt was up to shady stuff and purposely signed a different contract that he also had Matt sign. Just because you missed the point doesn’t make it a bad segment lolI didn't miss the point, it just didn't make sense. The base of the segment was Hardy trying to liquor Page up and get him to sign a contract. He thinks Page is wasted when he is clearly not. He tells the camera he wants the contract signing on video so Page can't try to back out of it later, which is questionable since the video Hardy wants proves his guilt. It doesn't matter where the segment goes from there. Nothing Matt Hardy did made any sense. The segment was built around complete absurdity. That's lazy WWE writing. |

I enjoyed that main event, and I can see the CZW violence trying to pop up and say hi. AEW could use that sometimes. Archer looked like a beast! Awesome. Kenta is such a special aura, and he really did well in his spots...the GTSs seemed better this week. The flying stomp seemed to come in more horizontal, which may have been the wrong angle to break the table. I may need Tama Tonga to stomp a mudhole in Kenny sometime, just sayin.
Sammy G is going to be a huge babyface and it will be glorious. Lastly, I need Stinger to smack someone with a bat again;enough talk, lets rumble.
