I live in the UK where a lot of exclusive figures are not made available to us... I have been collecting for years and have almost every elite to date. Recently it droned on me im approaching the big 4... 40 years old and I question myself how much longer I can still do this. There’s literally almost a set of regular elites every single month and that’s not including the many exclusives that come out either, not to mention the AEW figures which look like they will be a set of figures every month too. That’s a lot of money every month to be spending on toys... how the hell do you guys do it?... I see some collectors have massive collections, not just figures but a lot of other wrestling merchandise too. I’ve considered giving up but some have suggested to me either just buy the legends or just buy the current roster and I’ll be ok but then I’m one of those that wants all the figures that look good. Tough decision... it’s almost like buy them all and go bankrupt or give up collecting altogether.

I’d recommend collecting your favourite era. Collecting everything clearly isn’t sustainable - money and space wise. Unless you have plenty of both, then I wouldn’t worry about it as long as you’re enjoying it.

Honestly maybe at this point just stick to first time in the lines. No point in getting your 14th A.J or 27th Undertaker. You'd still be expanding your collection and saving a ton of money.

Why do you need every single elite ever made? No one told you to do that but you. And why are you going to listen to a bunch of random people about your collection and what to do with your own money? Only you can answer that question. You either want to collect or you don’t.

If you enjoy it, and it's not hurting anyone, keep doing it. If not, quit. Easy stuff.

I know the feeling, with a lack of income due to Covid and a family to look after it is hard to justify spending so much on them. I just buy one of each character now, so with AEW I’m not buying any that have multiple figures, just the earliest version of each one.

I recently decided to sell off almost my entire collection and made the choice to be incredibly selective in what I collect. Now, the only thing I collect is Ultimate Warrior figures, Ultimate Edition Legends, and sometimes exclusives (SDCC, RSC, etc.) It's made collecting a lot cheaper, and the money I got for my old collection helped me get ahead on some of my debt. I can also display the UE figures together without my collection seeming overwhelming, and its nice that they are the top-of-the-line figures.

Be more selective....collect only your favorite wrestlers or your favorite era as one person has already said....having every elite figure ever made who really does that & why?? My collection is what I feel are the bare essentials to me personally which currently consists of 19 Moc figures but I’m happy with that because they’re exactly the ones I want

That’s good advice but what happens if there’s 20 undertaker figures you like.. I mean you got hall of champions taker... defining moments taker... the collectors edition taker... the SDCC exclusive taker and lots more.

Unless you have plenty of both, then I wouldn’t worry about it as long as you’re enjoying it. From my age you would know I love the legends and attitude era but because the figures are so good today I get sucked in buying the current roster and to be fair watching the superstars every week it’s hard not to buy their figures.

There's got to be a happy medium between buying everything and quitting entirely. I don't know what that is for your specific preferences. You actually watch modern wrestling... which makes "just the legends" tricky.

I don’t know how people can like every era of wrestling. People can like more than one type of pizza, shoes, why not wrestling. I can like bigger than life characters ala the 80's. I can like a realistic, edgy presentation like the late 90's I can enjoy the more athletic performer ala the modern day.
