That Cena is awesome. For one thing, plenty of people will buy it for the accessories alone. The nWo Nitro backdrop is awesome and the cloth nWo shirt, hat and belt are all great accessories that could be used for other figures.
Beyond that, lots of people wanted nWo Cena to recreate the Firefly Funhouse match, especially after they revealed the upcoming Legends 10 fig. People would have complained if they released it as a basic because there wouldn't have been any accessories. If they put him in the main Elite line, there wouldn't be the awesome custom packaging or backdrop which could be major selling points for a relatively simple street gear figure like this.
It might not be the most exciting reveal but it makes sense why they would choose it. And those knocking the quality of the recent Ringside exclusives must have forgot about the upcoming Warrior because it's one of their best exclusives ever.

How else would that idea be executed? Sometimes I think you and I are the only sane people here lol. heya... not for nothing. I pride myself on my reasonableness.  Speculated and picked up a couple of Cenas despite having no interest. I think I'm just gonna go find my elites in stores, it doesn't seem as difficult as AEW atm. I'm honestly going to buy that Taker for the bandana for my own CaW(figure), I need a better source of accessories! I don't want a damned Undertaker!  |

Just pre-ordered Elite 85 Boneyard Undertaker. I'm not sure what's the point of NWO Cena when Cena was never part of NWO, would have muched preferred Buff Bagwell or any other NWO members not released yet.

Spent around 25 bucks making my NWO Cena custom the day after lol. It looks identical. I can save that money and put it towards Kama lolol

I have all the other NWO rsc exclusives so went ahead and bought the Cena, although I'm not a huge fan of the figure. So many more REAL nwo members we still need!!

I am glad got the ones I wanted! The Cena is awesome I love the idea of it and think it was executed well! Also picked up Kross,Liv,Taker, and the Bray another figure that I love!
Best exclusive yet!

i wouldnt be surprised if target and walmart "caught on" to ringside getting their store exclusives and were not happy about it. maybe thats a tin foil thing, but i dunno. seems weird that they got a bunch and then all of a sudden are not getting the newer ones (bulldog, kama)
i truly hate this "collectors edition" concept. i hate every single aspect of it on every single level. (with the exception of the actual figures being chosen to be made)
its not why i collect wrestling figures
