I have a question for everyone, if you could buy really good quality scaled down wcw prototype reproductions of any of the 7 unreleased guys would you? Or would you stay pure and hopefully get one of the 2-3 originals that exist. This was a debate that I was in recently with another collector and thought I would bring it here for feedback. I said honestly I could care less as long as I had them. He said he would only purchase an original. So I'm curious now.

Wcw galoobs arent something I care about but in general I care far less about authenticity than I do having something that makes me happy.
Gimme the knock off, the remakes or the close enoughs anyday.

I’d need the originals, otherwise my boys would clown me.

What's the price range? And how scaled down?

I would love to get a set - best unpainted. I enjoy painting figures alot, so this would be a heartproject for me. If this is turning out to be real, color me interested.

Well there is a guy who's planning on releasing the full set within this coming year. He's an amazing customizer & molder. He literally did perfect molds of all of them, then scaled them down to the same exact size as actual galoobs were suppose to be. Because the prototypes themselves are substantially larger. He acquired all 7 after a 10 year search. But instead of hiding them away like other collectors do, he wants to make them available for people who want them too. Cool guy, does not care about prototypes or money value of them. He just likes having the toy itself. I already saw examples, f'n awesome!! They are even molded in a simillar plastic as the real galoobs were. So these puppies are more durable than some of the harder resins. I'm just curious of people's opinion.

I’d need the originals, otherwise my boys would clown me. I'd clown you too if you spent $15,000 on toys.

Wait...there’s 7 unreleased WCW Galoob figures? I know there’s: Diamond Stud PN News Aaaaaaaaand then I’m drawing a blank. Who am I missing? LoL I think he means: Robed Ric Flair Robed PS Hayes Robed J. Garvin PN News Diamond Studd Ricky Morton Black Blood There was also a different robed Luger (different headsculpt which you can even see on his cardback) and a Tom Zenk repaint. If you search further you will also find different sculpts for Rick Steiner, Sid Vicious and most likely a few others that I am forgetting about at the moment. There are even movable prototypes from a rather early stage. Shame they didn’t come through with them, they would have blown away the WWF Hasbros. There seems to be a recent auction on the bay offering 3 customs (Feeebirds and Flair) for £ 3.500. that would be far too much for my taste. If someone is indeed planning on releasing all 7 in true Galoob scale, I would be willing to spend good money for it. I see these easily going for 150$ each. Personally I‘d prefer unpainted figures to paint them myself which I would highly enjoy, but I wouldn’t mind buying painted ones either - if the quality is as good as the original line was.

Personally I'm more interested if someone could replicate those articulated Galoobs of Sting, Sid, Steiners, Flair but I'd give some serious thought to getting that robed Flair.

First off, I just want to clarify that when I said the 7 unreleased, I meant yes the 7 mentioned from what could have been a series 3. Not all unreleased prototypes. The different lex luger sculpt as far as I know has never resurfaced. No one has it, so it's probably in some old employees belongings. That is a great figure and I am still surprised they did not go with that one to release!? I doubt whomever owns the articulated ones would let them out of their collection to get 3D printed and produced. It's a shame really, beautiful figure pieces wasting away in one collection. So this is the story, this guy I meet thru a friend who has two of the original figures princess4evr released, bought these casts from someone close to princess4evr. Who has since gone mia and is no longer interested as far as I know to do anymore castings. He plans on selling them for $150 each to cover the costs he spent on equipment and the prototypes themselves. All of them will not be available right away. He's starting out with one at a time. He has choosen to go with PN News first. Now this is the cool part. After he acquired these figures, he reproduced a PN News figure and sent it to the man himself who doesn't own one. They began a friendship. PN News has agreed to autograph 20 galoob style PN News backing cards that will be sold along with his figure. Some of the figures getting made will be sent to PN, so that he can sell them at various signings to earn some extra income. The guy who owns the prototypes is also currently scaling down wwf LJN's and OSFTM figures as well to turn into galoob sized figures. I have seen pictures and videos of his work. The guy is amazing, should have worked as a toy designer. As I said he's keeping a down low about this, as actual prototype owners might probably not be pleased to hear about this. When the time comes that he's ready to put them up, I'll give out his information via pm for anyone interested. As I said he requested I not give out his info until he's ready.

Oh and the guy on ebay selling the 3 prototypes has the ones that princess4evr made. Nice guy, going thru a hard time financially. I was interested in them too, but after conversion $6000 is not worth it. I don't blame him though, they are rare.

I’d love to have these in galoob scale, not interested in oversized proto stuff or rare stuff in & of itself (2 ups etc). The scaled down ljn’s etc would be cool too (the ljn bendies were my first wrestling figs here in the UK, so got a soft spot.
But I think I’ll be way out priced for these.

For anyone interested he's almost ready to start selling those wcw galoob prototypes. PN News is his first figure he's releasing. He's doing each one seperately as it's a lot of money to do everyone at once. He recently set up a instagram page (FeeneyPlexFigures) to show and use to sell them. He gave me thumbs up to start passing the info around. His name is Nathan Feeney, you can also find him on Facebook. Awesome guy, amazing work. As far as I'm concerned these figures surpass the original prototypes.

$150 each? Yikes. Look great but that’s a bit much for my interest in them.
