LOL awsh*therewegoagain.gif I low-key kinda want to hear about how gainfully employed everyone who leans on the old "scalpers are unemployed dregs on society" is. It's such a 0-60 jump everyone makes every time the subject is brought up that it's almost impossible not to see it as a really sad state of projection. i imagine they have similar jobs to the ones they perceive the scalpers to have Based on collectors complaining, the most common occupation scalpers seem to have are...Walmart and target employee.

Nope they can’t! Not according to this board. Then there’s also the worst scalpers this board complains about...the “they grabbed the figures I wanted right before me” scalpers.

It looks like it was any posts related to the original statements that flipping figures for a profit should be deemed a capital offense. But since we're on the subject, my kid is my favorite customer to flip my old figures to. He basically gets anyone I upgrade, so he's got a weird mish-mash of Matt Hardy, John Cena, and Edge running around. He'll be picking up an old Sasha Banks as soon as my new E83 one comes in...right around the time my Ricky Steamboat Elite should be coming in, too. So wait, you live in your mom’s basement and have a kid? Sounds like flipping figures isn’t the best business. Neither is 20,000 posts on a toy forum, especially when you have kids. Guarantee this guy is 400 pounds that is living in a relatives house he was left in a will. There's no one that loves using the "mom's basement" line more than crybabies complaining about "scalpers". You're sitting here post after post saying the same nonsense thing so tell me more about who's wasting time more than you.

Hey for all the scalper apologists, I have a question. If it’s fine and not hurting anyone or against society norm why are major retailers implementing buying limits on products and why did ebay and Amazon ban people from price gouging cleaning products and sanitizers during early covid? Not one place in my area has limited anything. You really want an explanation why essential items during a pandemic were limited from price increases on market sites?

I support my wife, two babies and two cats on my salary alone. No relative has given us a place to live. I have better ways of paying the bills than buying extra rare action figures to rip off fellow collectors. I have every right to complain about scalpers when they buy up figures I want, and argue back with people who tag me all day. I am aware it is mostly a waste of time to engage with the idiots, but it's kind of hard to resist the urge all the time.

Wait this forum now defends scalpers not the actual scalpers. ya know, the ones that buy everything and mark it up for a ridiculous profit. but the collectors that also flip a couple figures here and there to make a few extra bucks to help fund their own collection? i see nothing wrong with them of course to some members here...there's apparently no difference. if they can't get their figures right away, whoever bought it first is a scalper

Imagine thinking anyone was paying their bills with their WWE action figure profits.

Imagine thinking anyone was paying their bills with their WWE action figure profits. There are people doing that. I know a few. These are the folks with shops or online stores. These are the folks who go into the stores every day and buy every figure they find. Imagine limiting your ability to accept this. To add onto this, these folks will buy every figure and if it doesn't sell...they return it to the store. It's free inventory.

These are the folks who go into the stores every day and buy every figure they find. Imagine limiting your ability to accept this. See, this is where the argument loses all its consistency. Scalpers are bad. But not the ones operating under the pretense of a legitimate business. They have overhead and bills to pay. But scalpers live in their mom's basement and don't pay taxes. There are so many leaps and bounds between points here that it's next to impossible to see it as anything more than petulant foot stomping because someone didn't get their way. Also, it's everyone's right to gripe about people selling legally purchased goods. To counter that argument is gaslighting. The inverse is not true. This thread is all over the place and I love it, Maggle.

I sell my figures off when money was tight. And if i see some aew guys i already have i might grab a few if i found a chase i would sell it not really scalping to me. Now if i bought all the inventory that would be a little excessive. But i usually sell off accessories or extra hands and sell them for a fair price sadly if i knew how hard it is to get demolition now a days i would have never sold for 65 for both lol
