A whole division of Marko's?
Do you have in mind a division scaled to AEW's roster, or holding it to the arbitrary standards someone else set? They heavily feature a 98-lb woman as a top draw in the women's division, and have already had a 100-lb underdog upset a veritable gorilla. I don't believe setting a superiority amongst weight classes by giving lighter guys "their own" title is a top priority.

In principle I like the idea of a junior heavyweight/light heavyweight division. I love that New Japan has both divisions, it's one of my favourite things about that companies approach. WWE tries with the whole Cruiserweight thing, but they treat it like a joke the majority of the time so it doesn't work. (Has gotten better moving to NXT, but it's still far from the Junior division in NJPW). Even NJPW runs into problems with it though *Cough* Zach Sabre Jr *Cough*. Like it feels wrong having Taiji Ishimori in the Jr. division while ZSJ goes with the heavyweights. It's not perfect, and I don't think it's really suitable for North American wrestling products. The approach is just so much different in Japan that it works there, where I don't think it'd work here.
That said, the notion that AEW is full of small guys is really unfounded imo. Being under 230lbs hardly makes one tiny. Especially when that is a relatively lean 230. WWE definitely has the "larger" roster overall because that's what they've always prioritized, but that doesn't exactly make all the AEW guys tiny either. They stack up just fine compared to New Japan's heavyweight division. They've actually got way more big guys than NJPW does.

The AEW World Championship Title doesn't have the word Heavyweight for a reason. That reason...I don't remember. However, I believe it has something to do with not wanting weight class distinctions, so as not to pigeon hole larger and / or smaller Wrestlers.
Plus, look at 205 Live. Do we really want an AEW 205 Live??
You want a new division?? You want a new Championship Title?? How about the AEW Six-Man Tag / Trios Championship Title!? Maybe go with a different name. AEW Stable Championship?? AEW Team Tag Championship?? AEW 3-Man Team Championship?? AEW Elite Championship (reference to the Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks)??

Then what's the point. If 70% of the roster is under 230 why draw attention to that and have nearly the entire roster crammed into 1 weird division....
Bring us the 3 man tag titles and draw the line at belts. Do more stuff like the dynamite diamond ring, it's not as prominent as a championship but it's still a push when a guy wins it. Look at MJF top tier talent, never held gold, but 2x dynamite diamond ring winner.

So many teams like Jurassic Express, Death Triangle, Dark Order, Team Tazz, Gunn Club, Nightmare Family, elements of Inner Circle.

AEW is mostly small guys. Their roster is already 95% light heavyweights. They already have the AEW championship. They don’t need two titles to represent the same thing.

Chuck Taylor is a heavyweight by both NJPW and WWE standards. There really aren't thaaaat many that would fit the light heavyweight criteria. What they really have is just less guys on the juice.
Edit: I'm under no dissolution that they are on average as big as the WWE guys, they aren't. They're pretty comparable to new Japan but with more giant guys than NJPW. I think referring to them as small or tiny though sets a dangerous precedent for wrestling. We're still conditioned to the huge wwf guys from the 80s and 90s pre wellness policy. Even post many are still well sauced. (As are some in this company, just likely not as many. I'm also well aware that it can be confusing to identify who is using. I've seen people you would bet your life are dirty be clean, and the other way around. On the whole though, looks like a duck...)There's a huge amount of body dismorphia issues in the strength and bodybuilding communities. Something I know I've struggled with in the past, as well as nearly everyone else I've known in those communities. Most of the aew guys are going to look pretty damn large and jacked in person. Not all, but a fair amount. Referring to them as tiny or small, especially if it's meant negatively, is only encouraging wrestling to return to wrestlers who are taking dangerous amounts of steroids. The aew (and NJPW) rosters are very indicative of what a wrestling promotion should look like for a drug free federation. Obviously not all of them are clean and in some cases it's very obvious who isn't. He may be on very little now for all we know, but at one point Brian cage was a human pin cushion and took very real risks with the amount he would have had to use. Dana Brookes boyfriend died due to complications from his usage combined with his genetic history. The amount many of them use carries very real risks, and wrestling has enough long term risks to begin with. I'm not saying everyone should look like Darby Allin, but guys like Beretta, Omega, Santana, etc. Likely look fairly impressive in person. All I'm really saying is we should be careful how we categorize this stuff, and as large as they looked, we should never want to return to the physiques of past in wrestling. They were far too dangerous.

Not really. I'd like to see as few titles as possible in AEW.

Omega is already a light heavyweight, by old WWE standards. Less because of muscle, of which he has lots. More height. Wrestlers are so much shorter now, which makes them lighter.

There would only be like 6 people who wouldn't qualify... AEW's average size is wayyy too small.

Too niche. Light heavy or crusierweight in American wrestling just means less than. Possibly how it should be, bigger wrestlers still to this day are much more marketable... Which makes them better.

Disagree. Beyond just my above post, which I thoroughly stand behind, I think we're seeing a shifting in preference to more athletic and agile wrestlers, which often are going to be in the 5'10-6'2 range. They can still look pretty darn good, like Kota ibushi looks like a freaking Greek god. A couple of giants like Archer serve a role of course.

Ok but could Kota Ibushi main event a WrestleMania that draws the interest of all the boomers who quit watching wrestling when "muh steve austin turned bad" in 2001?

VKM brain rot and boomers are in the Connecticut board. To your point though, ANYONE could main event WM. The boot lickers would be fine with whomever VKM puts there. They could make up justification too.
