Nothing to show yet as I'm still not home but I am one of the many that are involved in the Bull Nakano mess from Icons. We are still trying to get our money back but the person dragging it out. Ooft, hadn't seen anything about that. What happened mate? She ended up canceling her appearance. But no one knew until a day or two before the actual event when the Icons of Wrestling facebook page posted a video from her apologizing for not being able to make it. If you tried to get a refund through Eventbrite, you were denied a refund because the way Eventbrite sees it the Con itself wasn't canceled, just a single persons appearance so they won't refund. People started leaving comments on the Bull Nakano video that Icons had posted about how they still couldn't get a refund. Icons finally came out and said they never collected money for Bull and they gave the name of the person that was representing Bull and we were told to contact them. The added wrinkle to my situation is I used the "contact the organizer" through Eventbrite way back in February, because I wasn't going to make it to the event but they had a mail in option. I wanted to double check that it was correct and where to mail my item. The person that e-mailed me back was actually Sonny Onoo and not the promoter that Icons said was handling Bull. Now Sonny Onoo will not return my emails. It's a strange situation. I don't know of anyone that has gotten refunds. |

WOW Artie Kendall a sketchy as hell situation. It doesn't help that they had that mail in either because if they're not refunding through a cancellation, I can't imagine they're likely to be mailing things back and paying money to send items back all over the world in postage. That whole thing completely sucks! I hope it's not gonna put you off of things like that in future though. There's always that one that seems to go wrong, so don't let it get you down. I really hope you get your money back though! |

It would not surprise me if Sonny was involved. A few years ago he was holding up a signing promoter for more perks to bring him and I think Great Muta to a wrestlemania weekend show. The promoter had already paid for both Muta and Sonny's flights/hotels/appearance fees, then Sonny kept tacking on more requests, including box seats for both and I think friends/family for Wrestlemania itself. LOL.
I don't know what is or isn't staged on that WWE Treasures show but I have no doubt Sonny would try and "big time" WWF with an impromptu auction for Andre's mask.

Scott! I only sent in an 8x10 to get signed that I had enhanced and printed out at home. So I can reprint the picture, I'm just out the $40 or so dollars total. It was $33 total for the ticket and fees and then I had to pay postage to send it in and I included a prepaid postage to send back. Pirateship has already credited me since the prepaid postage was never used. I'm still going to continue to collect but I'll probably not do anything mail in related with Bull or Sonny unless it's a con and I can send it to someone to get signed in person that I trust. jason1980s I had heard some stories about Sonny over the years, so I when I saw that he was emailing me my heart kind of sank knowing that things may go off the rails. But I kept emailing him and he kept replying within a day up until I asked about a refund and he has not responded. That was 4 or 5 days ago. He has been active on social media since I emailed him about the refund so I know he aware. He just isn't responding.

update on my situation with Bull - The other promoter got back to me and said mail in stuff was sent to Bull to get signed which is why my refund was stuck on pending. Playing the waiting game now.
