WWX presents the 1st annual Alcatraz - Community Booking

We head up to the pre-show panel, where Charly Caruso welcomes us to the official WWX Alcatraz 2021 Kickoff Show here on the WWX Network and across all of WWX's various digital platforms.

Caruso welcomes in fellow panelists Stevie Ray, Bradshaw and Peter Rosenberg. The four immediately start breaking down some of the action scheduled for tonight's show.

After they run down some of the action in store for the WWX Universe at tonight's special event, they send things to a backstage interview with Chris Benoit. "The Crippler":  I am excited for tonight and, even if I fail to capture the title, I will continue to try to make history. If I can become NWA Champion for the first time in my career tonight, I will finally have caught one of those brass rings people talk to me so much about."

We return to the panel, and Peter Rosenberg: "The Rabid Wolverine needs to be more aggressive. He sounds like he's chasing "brass rings" because other people want him to and not because that is what drives him." Stevie Ray and Bradshaw agree. Bradshaw: "Doing this match for somebody other than himself is going to cost him out there tonight."

Stevie Ray: "I can now reveal the news that was broken on flairric66.webs.com and via the company's social media channels on Sunday afternoon, which is that The Hurricane has been pulled from his scheduled Triple-Threat Match against Snitsky and WWX United States Champion Consequences Creed. Instead, Creed will take on Snitsky by himself and if Snitsky wins he will be guaranteed a shot to become United States Champion. Nothing yet has been announced as to what will happen with Hurricane in the future."

Bradshaw: "Hold that thought, boys." Just then we see Hurricane on the TitanTron, who appears "live via satelitte". Hurricane: "It does not matter who wins tonight, because I am going to win regardless eventually....he is interrupted when Chris Benoit once again has something on his mind. Hurricane goes to say something, but then just cuts the feed. Benoit: "And what is more, if I don't capture the NWA Title tonight, then whoever does will constantly feel me coming for them." The panel laughs as Benoit is starting to sound like a broken record here.

They introduce the segment from this past Friday night's Alcatraz "go-home" edition of Destruction where Maven announced that he is not even stepping foot in the arena to protect his Hardcore Championship. The panel talks about the news and speculate as to who can take the belt from the wily champion. They of course mention Jerry Lynn as a possibility citing the problems the two have had of late. Stevie Ray: "We know Lynn has entered the Gauntlet for the Gold tonight, so Maven is safe from The Pioneer, at least as far as tonight goes, but, if Lynn fails, Maven may have a much larger problem in the future."

Rosenberg: "At any rate, let's discuss the favorites to win the Gauntlet for the Gold. You have to give it to Rob Van Dam, Eric Young, or Ultimo Dragon. Of course, Dragon has the speed and aggression to be a huge threat. Eric Young is a World Title caliber competitor, and Rob Van Dam is a future HoFer in any company he competes in." Bradshaw: "All great choices, but my minds on the huge 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Chamber main event. 36 men in one title match, 3 men to a pod. It's, as JR would say, bound to be a slobberknocker." The sponsor for tonight's Alcatraz show is Snickers. 'You're not you when you're hungry.'

Nicky joins the pre-show panel to talk about Monty Brown winning the Royal Rumble and his ongoing journey to a title match at Slamboree. He goes to make his point when he is interrupted by The New Breed. Nicky: "Why should the fans listen to you guys about anything when they have my insight that you took from them? I mean Sabu is competing for the WWX Title tonight, and none of you are." Burke: "We beat those chumps in their own yard in an Extreme Rules match. We have nothing more to prove against them, and tonight, right now, I am entering myself into the Gauntlet for the Gold. Enjoy the rest of your night, especially when I'm named the first NWA Champion."

Nicky: "Anyway, Monty Brown has a huge mountain ahead of him, and if he plays his cards right he could become a full-fledged member of the roster and a champion in the same night. We could be witnessing the next big success story in WWX, remember when Brodus Clay and RyBack earned their way onto the roster? Ted DiBiase, Jr. is done giving people free rides, anyone he signs from here on out will be people he genuinely sees something in. I support Brown, so mark my words, come Slamboree, he will join the roster." 
Rosenberg: "Well, with all of that out of the way, ladies and gentlemen, we are finally ready to kick things off with the United States Champion in non-title action. That is next. We send things now over to the commentary desk with Jim Ross and The Professor Iron Mike Tenay!"

Tenay: "Thank you, gentlemen, of course tonight's opening match is presented to you by Xplosion, the home of the United States Championship. We are honored to have the exclusive kick-off show match, and it's a big one as the agile champion looks to chop down another big man."

On that note, the familiar sounds of Consequences Creed's theme plays as the champion makes his way down to the ring for our first match of the evening inside the ThunderDome in Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL. Out next, is Snitsky, who is accompanied by Abyss, as he makes his way down to the squared circle.

WWX United States Champion Consequences Creed defeated Snitsky.

#17 Bobby Lashley won the Gauntlet to become the first ever NWA-WWX Champion.

Lance Cade became the first ever WWX Universal Champion.

John Morrison became the #1 Contender to CM Punk's WWX World Heavyweight Championship.

Batista retained the WWX Championship.

Chris Jericho & Chris Masters won the WWX X-Division Tag Team Championships.

Matt Hardy became the #1 Contender to Mark Jindrak's WWX European Championship.

Sheamus & Rene Dupree retained the WWX Tag Team Championships.

Jay Lethal & Los Guerreros retained the WWX 6-Man Tag Team Championships."
