For the people thinking the "signing" being revealed this weekend is a Hall of Famer: you weren't listening to what Wight said - he announced that they were "hall-of-fame worthy".
Let's think about which wrestlers are currently free-agents that have had or are currently having a hall-of-fame-worthy career. Looking down the WWE Alumni list the obvious dream choice would be Punk but I really don't see it. They could market Alberto El Patron as being "hall-of-fame-worthy" but with all the controversy surrounding him and how loathed he is by fans I don't see that either. Van Dam? I hope not, I have no interest in seeing an out-of-shape RVD in an AEW ring. Steiner? Again, I have no interest in that.
Thinking about people who could go on to be greats (playing into the HOF Worthy comment) - did DH Smith re-sign with MLW at the end of 2020? He would be a great addition. Same goes for Ethan Page and Sami Callahan, did they re-sign with Impact or are they free agents?

I’m still surprised that Shaq match was so good because I had the smallest bit of interest in it

Really entertaining show all around. The Shaq/Jade/Cody/Red Velvet match significantly exceeded my expectations. Very cool table spot from Shaq and Cody. I'm excited to see how Revolution plays out. Not sure in the slightest what his current contract situation is but I feel like Christian could be the new signee.

Watch the Free Agent be Zelina Vega.
Her no compete is up and Khan has been wanting her since she was released.
Now for the debut in the ladder match, that could be interesting.

Lesnar or punk are the only signings i would call huge and could make a significant improvement on top of media attention. Cena and the rock just not going to happen My off the rail guess is Joey styles to announce the barb wire match. Interesting you speak the name of the great one Joey Styles. He just upped the trademark on his name the other day. OH MY GOD!

This is a clue given straight from the mouth of Tony Khan.
“He told the world, and it’s true, that there’s going to be a big star signed with AEW. He’s coming here and it’s absolutely true what Paul said, this Sunday, a major star in the world of wrestling. A huge star is going to come and sign a multi-year contract with AEW on Sunday at the pay-per-view. So, I can confirm what Paul said is true—and I’m not talking about the person in the ladder match. I’m talking about—we have a fun sixth person in the ladder match,” Khan said, “but the person that I’m saying is going to come and sign a multi-year contract with AEW, the person that Paul referenced, that’s not the sixth person in the ladder match.”

49 year old Shaquille O Neal who was barely training since September put 20 something year old LBM who has been training at the WWE PC for more than 2 years to shame.

And he isn’t saying they are coming in as a wrestler either, just a multi year contract. And the continuous use of its true does lead me to think it’s Kurt.

Maybe it's one of those "It's not our hall of fame so we aren't acknowledging it" kinda things?

I feel like if it was Punk they'd build it up more than Paul Wight having a big scoop with a cheesy smile

I know it’s a weird wording but I mean Tony Khan said it’s true like three times in his comments, and it doesn’t seem like it’s a active wrestler. I mean who can it be?

Khan said the mystery entrant in the ladder match was "fun". My guess RVD for that, and Angle for the signing.

I could see speedball Mike Bailey counting as a fun entrant for the latter match too.

I'm kinda leaning towards Christian for the signing.
