I’m going with Kurt Angle as the signing And I’m going with either Nick Gage (confirmed they were bringing him in last summer before he got hurt) or Ole Mancer Mance Warner (it’s know AEW wanted him but MLW wouldn’t let him go) I thought Gage just signed with MLW? The MDK king wouldn't fit well in AEW. GCW and CZW, if not back in Japan, are his best fits.

See, I think it might just be Wight. He said "Hall of Fame worthy" and a "Huge, Huge star". He is definitely HOF worthy. And he is a Huge (Giant) Huge (Well-known) star. I hope I'm wrong - and selfishly, I want Angle because he's the GOAT and I want more figures of him. that's wrestling booking's equivalent of a bad joke. you don't promote something and then pull one on your audience, paul wight and AEW would get go away heat out the yin yang.

The more I think about it, I’m going with Christian. He certainly fits the hall of fame worthy status, imo. Unless WWE has him locked down already because he did the rumble

Keep in mind said the signing is not the guy in the ladder match. So we'll get two surprises on Sunday.

I would kinda love to see Christian work in NWA rather than AEW.

I would kinda love to see Christian work in NWA rather than AEW. He could do both.... I suppose, but I think he would be a better fit on that roster, and be a high-caliber grab and a benefit for NWA moreso than AEW. Most people suggested here would fit that mold, to be honest. Onto the mystery, TK has narrowed it down to a male talent who he considers one of his favorites.

Unless WWE has him locked down already because he did the rumble i'd be down for captain charisma is aew... but god damn, i just don't like his face. his face really bothers me. it's not that he's ugly, it's just, i don't know, it's ratty! they should put a blue dot over his face whenever he comes out.

I hope it's Brock. Makes AEW instantly the #1 company in the world. He's the only wrestler that gets main stream coverage on ESPN and NON-Wrestling related media outlets.

Onto the mystery, TK has narrowed it down to a male talent who he considers one of his favorites.my god, i believe i've cracked the code, gentlemen. exhibit a: isn't it pretty well known that tk was a big ecw fan back in the day? there's only a handful of those guys in wwe/tna hof, if that's what their status is being based off of. also, considering the fact that there's a few ecw guys already signed with aew, they could easily add another to their roster; whether it be in ring, manager, coach, etc. in this scenario, rvd seems to be the most obvious choice, but i don't think it's him. exhibit b: this sunday at revolution, there's an exploding barbed wire deathmatch booked. and though i can't remember of the top of my head if that specific match type has ever happened in ecw, there was another match type that was deemed so brutal that it never happened again, at least in ecw. that being the barbed wire rope match at born to be wired. of the two people in that match, only one of them isn't retired (unless funk has come out of retirement for the 86th time) closing statement: countless times during an aew broadcast, whether it be dynamite or ppv, we've witness the lights go out for a moment. every single time, we're certain that someone is about to show up, but always questioning who could it be? from what i can recall, up until sting arrived at least, when the lights come back on, it's been a different person. i believe it's been used for cody, proud n powerful, MAYBE uno and grayson earlier on? the surprise of not knowing exactly who's gonna suddenly appear is exciting, no doubt. but the feeling you would get when you already knew that one crazy sob in particular was gonna be there, was just as-if not more exciting. whether it be to beat the crap out of someone with a chair, or even himself with his death defying stunts, the unpredictability of not knowing what you'll see can tend to be more enticing than who you're gonna see. though he was a bit of a trainwreck at times, there's no denying that he was an innovator, and made it hard to look away nearly anytime he was in motion. (besides the born to be wired match, blegh). if my hypothesis is correct, the mystery man is none other than.... SABU!!!!!!!!!!!!! (only the real ones will understand)

I am like 99.9% sure it's not Brock, but a part of me is really curious what would happen when Brock and Moxley inevitably met in an aew ring.

I'm guessing it'll be Abyss.
Assumption being he quietly left WWE without any media finding out.

Tony said on Busted Open Radio (I think that’s the name, with Mark Henry, etc) that it’s “one of my all-time favorite wrestlers.” I’m sure he has a bunch of all-time favorites, so not sure how much it narrows it down, but it should eliminate a lot of random names being thrown out there.

It’s... it’s Christian

I think Christian continues to make sense. And I wouldn't be shocked if WWE clearing him for the Rumble after years and years of not clearing him would be an negotiating tactic if he had an offer on the table.
Tony's signings have been pretty savvy in that they usually check a few boxes: -some brand recognition among casual or lapsed fans -able to move merch -opportunities to contribute backstage or to mentor young talent -wrestlers whose career didn't end on their terms
I think realistically Angle or Christian are the only two I could see.

Highly unlikely its Christian IMO...I think Angle is most likely because of his podcast that was recently dropped. Its considered 3rd party and it appears he's not splitting money with WWE thus, unlikely under WWE Contract at the moment. On top of that other than Bruce who was grandfathered in, all of Conrad's podcasts are with AEW guys.
Until the youtube video where Tony said it was one of his favorite wrestlers I was leaning towards it being someone from outside the wrestling community like a boxer or MMA fighter.
