Some workers in history have gotten over quickly and gotten huge pushes quickly - Rock, Lesnar, Angle, etc. Over the last decade or so, the concept of the part-timer has come to be, but it's almost always used for nostalgic/veteran members of the roster ('Taker, Goldberg, Rock, Lesnar, etc.).
Do you think we could ever have a performer who is part-time from the beginning of their career? Somebody who, because of the way they work, get over, whatever, WWE knows will be big money from the get-go, and this person knows it and negotiates a part-time contract starting at the very beginning of their career.
Obviously the only person who might fit this category would be a celebrity (Gronkowski if he had gone forward with his run, Bad Bunny, etc.), but I'm not even talking about that. A brand new, non-celebrity, part-timer.
Could it ever happen? What would it take?

You're talking about, essentially, a brand new, unquantified performer who is a bankable draw from the second they debut?
No

No I think in WCW Paul Wight could have been big enough (literally and figuratively) from the get-go in 1995 to have been a part-timer, if the concept had existed then. Jim Ross always says he was way over-exposed.

If Bray Wyatt didn't exist the Fiend could have, but other than that I could only see it working for someone like The Giant or Khali

They could have gotten away with it for AJ Styles imo. The wrestling world is flat now. If Okada signed with WWE, I think they could do that kind of thing for him.
So not an unknown guy, unless he’s just some genetic freak of nature, but someone who is world class, but has never been on WWE TV.

In order to be a draw, fans need to know you and your story. Brock (post-2012) and Ronda were known quantities when they got their part-time deals because fans knew them and their stories. Same with all the old-timers who come back like Edge or Batista.
If you saw Brock Lesnar's debut in 2002 and then didn't see him again until early 2003 you would not have remembered who he was, no matter how imporessive he was in his debut. You just wouldn't!

You’re thinking of an attraction. Like a giant in the old territories. The main issue is that everyone is overexposed. Even Undertaker decided to jump in and just toss his gimmick out the window.
Every modern wrestler who wants to be viewed as a badass needs to google Chuck Vogelpohl. Most feared powerlifter there ever was. A man so enigmatic he is what a sport of pain crazed hermits aspire to be like.

Are you talking about someone who has wrestled in other places at a high level? If so, then yes - Sting did it.
If you’re talking about someone who isn’t famous and has never wrestled before, then no, of course not. There’s no evidence there for how they “get over” or wrestle in front of a crowd, so what would even be the basis of making the decision? How would WWE even be aware that this person exists?
If you’re talking about someone from the indies, again, no - someone being paid in hot dogs and handshakes to wrestle in high school gyms and VFW halls isn’t going to demand a Brock Lesnar contract to join the industry leader, nor would he/she have the leverage for such a deal.
