with the prices for older NHL figures, i think ill save up and get a set of 2,3,4 then get a case of 9,10,legends
then sell half the case and make back the cost of the case.

Saw all(or mostly all) of MLB8 yesterday at Toys R Us. I am not impressed. It seems to be half Yankees and a few others mixed in. Nothing big at all. I hope they make a Yankee A-Rod, and a Cub Maddux(updated from Chase version).
I still need to pick up a Wood and Prior.

My 4 NHL figures came yesterday..... I realized that Brendan Shanahan is the same as the box set'ed one I allready have. LOL The other 3 are still MOC, im not sure if i will open them. I wana open Tie Domi most of all.

4 new figure reviews: 1. MLB Series 8 Alex Rodriguez Although I rarely buy non-Yankees, as a recent Yankee acquisition, I felt obligated to open one of the 2 A-Rod regulars I got from my case. I like this figure a lot. Although clearly outdated, and understandably so, this figure is beautiful. The pose is fantastic, nice shortstop pose, beautiful colors. McFarlane captured one of the games best players magnificently, and did him great justice. Although my pictures don't show it, the face sculpt is excellent. Typical McFarlane articulation on this figure, little to none. However, I will give this figure a 9.5/10 for collectibility. 2. McFarlane MLB Series 8 Hideki Matsui Ever since seeing the prototype of this figure a while back, I loved it. The pose is great, and being that it is an almost trademarked pose, I doubt we will be seeing it again. Hideki is one of the more accurately portrayed McFarlane Sportspicks, they have his stance down great, an the body/face/equipment is very accurate. I would rate this figure a 10/10. McFarlane MLB Series 8 Alfonso Soriano Although he is not a Yankee anymore, I will always have a soft spot for Soriano, and he will always be among my favorite players. They have his followthrough down perfectly, along with his smile/facial features.... and of course the high socks. This is quietly my favorite figure in the set. 10/10. McFarlane MLB Series 8 Kevin Brown Yankees Kevin Brown has always been among my favorite pitchers... now that he is a Yankee, even more so. Another near flawless figure. They have Brown's windup perfect, and the cold stare is excellent. I think McFarlane is improving with every series... 10/10.
