I am TRIGGERED I go to bed every night watching the network now I’m forced to go to this BS stream and I just lost half of the content now I can’t go back and watch any ppv in chronological order or anything it’s just the major PPVs and they’re sent in by seasons not years this is the worst thing they’ve ever done unreal and I can’t even pick which match I want wtf gives I can’t be the only person not ok with this

So, first bit of chicanery pulled by Peacock...Piper vs. Bad News from Wrestlemania 6 has been EDITED OUT due to insensitivity, the attitude era is going to be a pleasure to watch on The ‘Cock This was my biggest worry with the move to Peacock. If they spent so much money for this content why the heck would they remove/censor anything? Just put a disclaimer on certain events, or have a “kids” mode like other apps where this stuff isn’t available but still there for adults. With not everything being available until August, combined with them already removing/censoring stuff, I wonder how many of the current Network subscribers will actually move and/or stay with Peacock. I simply have the Network to watch older events and from what ive heard the current Peacock setup is a mess. |

Those were both big parts of each event...I’d like the ability to judge for myself whether or not to watch them and in retrospect having an internal dialogue on the actions at the time...but I would like the ability to watch...and it’s not going to be just that, it’s going to be a SHITLOAD of things that they are going to end up dropping. Too many people have never heard the phrase “those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it.” We’re all adults, and like you said, we should be given the choice whether to view this content or not. Simply removing it does not erase it from history. If anything, it only highlights it further. And where does it stop? Will they edit out the Lashley/Umaga match from WM23 simply because some people find Trump offensive? It’s a slippery slope too many are willing to ride on unfortunately. |

While the app was rocky at best when it launch, the WWE never censored their product, even when it came to subjects such as Benoit (they didn’t mention his name in searches but all his work is still there and up to us to decide whether to watch it or not). Now Peacock purchases the content and starts editing it yet still expects to gain all those WWE Network subscribers. I couldnt care less if Peacock edits the content (they purchased it), but it’s a reason why they won’t be gaining me as a subscriber. I’m apart of the target market they want to gain for their new streaming service yet their decisions have made me decide to turn them down. And I can guarantee im not the only current WWE Network subscriber that won’t be jumping to Peacock because of this. This isn’t making a big deal of anything, but considering I’ve supported the WWE Network for years I feel like I can voice my opinion on this (as you have clearly been in this thread as well). |

A LOT of people don’t give a damn about WWE 2008-on and have it for the “good old days”. I never watch the new content other than 3 hours of a PPV a month. None of their new shows, I don’t care about what goes on behind the scenes of TODAY’S stars, they don’t interest me at all. But I will spend a Saturday relaxing and throwing on some old content, Do you realize how much could be considered “insensitive” anything Yokozuna and Fuji, anything Nation, Eddie Guerrero Lie Cheat and Steal, anything where Hogan is going against a foreign bad guy. Ivan and Nikita, Orient Express, Headshrinkers or Samoans, Umaga...where does it stop in the name of “sensitivity”. Was it totally appropriate? Maybe not. Should it be whitewashed? No. I’m already going into this with misgivings...and sadly it’s starting to look like some of those worries are valid. Wrestling’s past wasn’t “PC” and many of its biggest moments weren’t. So if this is the approach they take, then we are going to lose a LOT of footage. |

I mean I get it from both sides, NBC is trying to maintain its wholesome image and older WWE fans aren’t a fan of censorship (watch WWE revive Right To Censor with this and turn it into a story)
I do agree that I think folks should have the choice to watch it or not, as someone said previously in this thread the more you take away it really just puts more of a spotlight on it (look at how many posts have been made about it in here).
To me it’s the philosophy of “hurtful things only have power if you allow them to have power over you” It’s an entertainment show, its scripted, its fiction. Idk maybe its just me.

These kids today having all their fancy gizmos, press a button to have a show beamed right to their refrigerator. In my day, you had to put in work for your content. You had to go 6-8 weeks after the event, all filled with spoilers. Wasn't no warnings for us! Had to jump in the car and go uphill both ways to an honset-to-goodness retail store, walk amongst all other living human beings to the very back of the building where a section specifically meant for movie discs were located. Sure there usually was a register back there, but normally no one was ever around or were preoccupied, so you would have to carry that disc all the way back to the storefront and stand in queue for 20 minutes behind filled shopping carts and spoiled grabby-handing brats. And heaven forbid the purchase you just made triggers the security alarm! Whole SWAT team be after your behind now!
And if you're not sure you want a certain event and pass, good luck finding that sucker later on. Can't even be certain your store will have the blasted thing on the shelf. No chance any associate you can find will have any darn clue what you're looking for. "We can have 50 copies of Julia Roberts' latest rom-com that will gather dust until they're all dumped in the tree-fiddy bin. But you'll have to check back next week." If I wanted the thing next week, I wouldn't be here today!
Portable, I'll tell you what's portable. A seven-pound briefcase with a monitor that barely has Nintendo DS resolution and a battery pack that allows only an hour playtime and dies if you don't charge it enough or charge it too much, doesn't really matter either way.
