It was a short lived but interesting concept. If it's ever revisited I would like to have better quality molds ala UE style bodies with random headscans. Say a Ultimate Edition template for the series. Would be pricey but I'm sure it would be a hot market. With endless customization would something like this be practical for a alternate toyline?

What killed it for me was the figures felt like a different quality. My kid was just not interested in them since they felt flimsy.

I agree, if they managed to pick an existing style (elite or ultimate edition) and used the same general concept, it would be great. Just allow parts to mix and match like build a figures and even sell expansion kits/ extra part sets. Would be a cool way to possibility get less prioritized gimmicks (like the fake Mr America Hogan in the original series) and even test the waters for future official releases in the regular lines.

Interchangeable parts have to be kept relatively basic to still be sturdy, I think. I can’t imagine the Ultimate Edition shoulders ever being easily swappable, but even if it was possible, it’d make them way more expensive than the original create a superstar figures.

Ya it would be a cool way to get a referee or ring announcer type figure if they just use some random heads or something I guess. Or a Cameraman or generic manager.

I liked the boots/feet of the CAS figures, no I'm not weird, but for playability they felt great, had great grip on the ropes, and didn't make as much noise as the regular boots/feet. Also less likely to leave scuff marks on other wrestlers.

I thought it was a good idea. I have a few of them and a few were pretty cool (like Sting, Roman & Rollins). Hopefully one day, Mattel can build on that and take it a step or two further. Fig Feds need enhancement talent too.

I saw them often and liked the concept, but the fact they were different figures from the regular lines kept me away. Plus I was only collecting Warrior then, and his didn't thrill me. I kinda wish now I'd grabbed it, though.

Yeah, for me it’s the fact they’re existing superstars. It would have been a lot better to have generic head scans included instead.

I bought a couple of these sets on the cheap for the accessories. Didn't really care about this figures but some of the other items were fun. That torch goes great with Seth Rollins.
Then again, if I could have any wish at all regarding customization and parts swapping, it would be bring back the old basics articulation. Having to invest a boatload of money for a several-years-old figure just to get the parts needed for a custom is getting old FAST. Eventually, my supply of Battle Pack Shanes is going to dry up and, as it's turned out, that new Triple H figure isn't going to be a viable alternative. I ordered one to see how he'd work and I don't think I'm even getting that one. My last order is being held up by the FFH Bray (Mid-March my foot) and Trips is already on back order. I'll be lucky if I can even get ahold of one of them.

Didn't buy any of the sets but I liked them a lot for the accessories. Jakks was the best at accessories. They rarely fit the figures they came with, but if you bought a bunch of figures and wanted to do a pic-fed, your possibilities were nearly endless.
However, I will say that out of all my Jakks figures, only two are posed with an accessory - Sandman, who has a beer can and a Singapore cane. I'd like to get him some barbed wire if I can, but there's other stuff to acquire first. The second is CS Mankind who has Socko. Other than that, all my accessory-ed figures are Mattel.
Although, regarding which company had better accessories, I literally bought a loose Barbarian figure for his sword. I tried to use the figure for a custom, but ended up mangling him. The remains of him are in my unloved box. I still have the sword though and eventually I will make that "Shaneicus" RR figure and give it to him.
