Hello everyone, I’m new to the group.
I wanted to ask, I’ve recently bought a Barry Windham UK version (blue pants) moc and wanted to know if anyone had more info on this variant?
I don’t remember him ever wearing blue attire but I could be mistaken, it always baffled me why they put a thunder bolt on flairs attire for his UK release lol.
Is this Barry Windham supposed to be a real grail? I’ve been told by a collector he is, is there a reason for this?
Thanks in advance

People tend to call everything a grail. It is a rare piece, but so are many other figures. Especially the Galoob UK variants are rare(r) than the US release. Personally I had no issue with finding a lose mint Windham UK variant, but have yet to find a lose mint US Reed, so this would more or less be my grail piece. Lol
Nevertheless congrats to your score! Happy hunting! 🍻

Thanks in advance I have him MOC, he is hard to find and can be expensive to buy as he was a UK exclusive and not produced in large quantities as some of the other Galoobs were. If its your own personal grail, than that's great. Me personally I think he's 'rare' to find moc, as is Hayes, Garvin, Luger & sting robe etc. If you want harder to find, try looking for the 2pk- Freebirds or Luger/Sting robed moc tag teams.

The world "grail" gets thrown around way too often IMO

surely "grail" applies to the mythical figure that people believe existed, but no-one can seem to find?
for example, the Greg Valentine R&B Hasbro was considered a "grail find", but now we know where that actually is, so why not apply the term for something equally mythical like the original Lex prototype figure, or the recently discovered unreleased Galoobs like Alex Wright, Renegade or Shark? at least those Galoobs are figures people can actually see, so the plastic must be somewhere (even if it is in a landfill site) so would surely class as a "grail" in Galoob collecting circles?
