Wazzup! everyone, I know how much we all like food, and obviously art, as we are figure fanatics, which got me to thinking...what is the most unique, or best fitting, packaging of a product, of any type, or promotional/marketing piece for a product (ie: record store promo standups, hanging mobiles, movie buttons, orbitz bottle, etc.) you have ever seen? What grabbed your eye? This can be food, toys, whatever you think is awesome....even homemade.
Since I am a music guy, there is a box set packagings that embody unqiue and fitting....the Misfits coffin box. Other detailed photos show the bright red velvet inside. Freshness!
I look forward to what unique items you all bring out that I have never seen before. Have a great weekend!
VPV
Edit: I cannot get the pic added for some reason.

In terms of packaging, I always enjoyed CD inserts as a kid and a huge music fan too. The lyrics, pictures, and creativity. That being said, I have a bunch of vinyl from my parents and I wish I could have been around for that. It would have been so cool to study the unique art or inserts put out by artists. Back when it was a thing to rush home and pop it on the record player.
I will try to think of more, I don't know if I am that influenced by marketing or If I am and don't even realize it!

Check out "picture disc" vinyl records. Those were even cooler to me.

I’m a fan of DVD/Video game Slipcovers/steel books. Back in the days Terminator 2 DVD had a metal slipcover. I remember a Total Recall DVD that came in a Mars tin.
Movie or video game box sets or special editions, always catch my eye.

Probably the liner notes and CD designs of any of the limited edition soundtracks from La La Land Records. I have a lot of their limited edition CD's and you get a lot with your money. Once they go Out of Print they gain value.

The worst type of Packaging was the DVD Snapper case that early Warner Bros DVD's came in. They were made of cardboard and stuck out farther than standard DVD cases. Unfortunately I have a few in my collection.

In turn, if you buy BluRays you'll notice they have a firmer more sturdy case and then some of your older, repackaged movies come in a more flimsy case that they promote as "recycled"....its just them making cheaper cases.

I love unique packaging. I could probably give tons of examples but I'll just share a few: Terminator 2 T-800 Arm 4K UHD: The arm is great, the actual disc is garbage. The UHD transfer used is absolutely terrible and will always be terrible because Lionsgate is the worst. Blade Runner Ultimate Collectors Edition Unlike Terminator 2 mentioned above, this is pretty much the perfect release of a film. When it was released in 2007, it was the go-to demo disc for people to show off the capabilities of blu-ray. On top of that it comes in fantastic packaging and packed with extras. Friday the 13th Original Score Blood Filled Vinyl: The actual number of copies that are out there is debated. It was announced at 100 when it was first released but it could be fewer due to several copies leaking blood and destroying the vinyl. Fat Boys - Fat Boys (Pizza Picture Disc) Much like the Blade Runner Blu Ray this is the ultimate edition of the self titled Fat Boys record. It comes in a pizza box. Resident Evil 7 Unlike everything I've mentioned, I actually don't own this. But I do like the look of it.

Artie Kendall Those are super cool. That blood vinyl has to be my favorite thing. You actually reminded me of the chainsaw gamecube controller for RE, which was super unique.
