No DQ Match for WFWF World Heavyweight Championship
Drakz (c) vs. Josh Dean
Drakz's latest World Championship run was already historic. With the weight of a retirement ultimatum hanging over each defense, the successful defenses continued. And then he made it all the more impressive by capturing the International Title as well. He stood firmly alone at the top of the WFWF.
And then Josh Dean showed up.
The return came as shock to the WFWF, but it was no surprise what Josh Dean wanted from Drakz. The surprise came when Josh Dean started to play his own mind games. Drakz may have gotten a measure of revenge by mounting an attack on his helpless son, but Drakz wasn't the only one playing human chess here--Josh Dean is the one who stole his titles and laid him out at the press conference.
But now there are no more mind games. All that's left is to step in the ring and settle it once and for all. Drakz faces his toughest challenge yet, with his title and career at stake. Will he vanquish yet another challenge to his throne? Will Josh Dean get what he's waited so long for? It all comes down to this. Two men enter. One man leaves.
McGurks Never Forget
Penny Shannon vs. EBR
Returning legends is always exciting, and the WFWF fans were abuzz when Penny Shannon and EBR both returned--and faced off with each other! EBR returned with great fanfare and was welcomed back with open arms. It was a hero's welcome for one of the all time great champions.
That didn't sit well with everyone.
Penny Shannon surprised everyone by not only using underhanded tactics to beat EBR, but to lay him out with a brutal attack after the match as well. Why? Well, she and Wayne and Vanessa McGurk remember a different side of EBR. Before he came back as a conquering hero, his checkered past was full of unsavory moments. Penny Shannon has made it clear that she is not happy with the whitewashing of his past actions. And neither is Vanessa McGurk, who helped lay out EBR in another shocking moment.
What started out as a dream match of legends has become much more. Now it's personal.
Vanguard Title Match
Johnny Mason (c) vs. Mesh
Long heralded as a rising star of WFWF, Johnny Mason now has the gold around his shoulder to prove it. There may still be a chip on the other shoulder. Now he walks into his biggest match and title defense ever: defending his title on the biggest stage of them all. What better place to gain more respect and prove the title rightfully belongs to him?
Easier said than done.
For Mason to walk out as champion, he has to fend off the first ever holder of the title: Mesh. It was at this very event that Mesh was left for dead, unheard from and unseen for months. Mesh's communication since then has been sparse and mysterious, but one thing is clear: if Mason wants to retain his title, it have to be over her dead body.
Dream Match #1
Joe Bishop vs. Wayne McGurk
It's not every day that two former world champions return, unless it's Superbrawl. Both Joe Bishop and Wayne McGurk return to the ring with resumes: both have held the International Title as well as the highest gold in the WFWF. And both are bonafide legends in the company's history. And now they meet for one simple reason, to see who is better on the biggest stage of all. This will be a good one, so sit back and enjoy.
Buried Alive Match
Ryan "Needles" Payne vs. Chris Priceless
There are a lot of returns at Superbrawl, but this set of returns are a little different. Some of the competitors are just looking to win. But in this match, someone is going six feet under. The disdain Ryan "Needles" Payne and Chris Priceless have for each other is well documented, having put each other through hell in an unsanctioned death match back in 2018. Now they're back for one more round, ready into inflict a little more pain on each other again. Old feuds die hard, but this one may finally get buried for good.
Dream Match #2
DGX vs. Reverend Shadow
This is the kind of match you think you can only see in a video game. Two champions of different periods face off and you see what happens. Now at Superbrawl, the real thing is finally here. Both former world champions, Reverend Shadow's final reign came before DGX captured the crown. And although the two have clashed in rare tag team affairs, it's now time for the big singles match no one ever thought would happen. Place your bets. The dream match is now real.
Marshall Manor Brawl
"The Father" Luke Marshall vs. The Wolf
Sometimes you need to settle some family matters. Banished with the mark of The Exiled One, The Wolf has been excommunicated by The Father. But that does not appear to be the final word matters between Luke Marshall and his younger brother. Little information is known to WFWF officials at this time. All that is known is that cameras will be at Marshall Manor to record whatever occurs. One can only guess how crazy and violent it can get.
#1 Contender's Gauntlet Match
Devilkiller vs. Dave Demento vs. Jebediah Whatley
Talk about a golden opportunity. One of these competitors will walk out of Superbrawl with a title shot. All they have to do is survive everyone else. For Devilkiller and Dave Demento, their returns come with a momentous chance to shoot their careers forward. And for Jebediah Whatley, there's never been a better opportunity upon debuting. DK and Demento must contend with the luck of the draw, and the fact that they have an unknown entity in the ring against. Whoever survives will have a bright future ahead.
Opening Match
Twitzid Insane vs. Napoleon Weisgarber
This is a tough challenge for Twitzid Insane, at least according to Napoleon Weisgarber. Despite his reputation, this is a match on the biggest stage of them all. Weisgarber won't go down lightly for the Insane one. If Twitzid Insane can win this battle, it'll be a big statement on the biggest show of the year. And if Weisgarber pulls out the victory, it may be the beginning of a new era in WFWF. Or maybe not.
