Really enjoyed both nights immensely. Really having trouble picking out a favorite match.

Ciampa/WALTER is my pick for night 1 and Cole/KOR for night 2 but Escobar/Devlin is real close

First off, Peacock loses MAJOR points for not letting me rewind and watch the show from the beginning. I tuned in during the NXT title match intros.
Only seeing the last two matches, I was surprisingly underwhelmed by them. With an actual, live Takeover crowd, maybe it would have helped my viewing experience. But as I watched the main event, all I could think of was the Cole/KOR ROH main event from WM weekend in Dallas and that it was the same style, but much better.

Peacock is garbage. I would’ve paid another 5 to keep the network...

Finally caught the Poppy performance. Both songs she played (shoutout to the Adam & The Ants cover) were miles better than whatever Rob Zombie crap they used as the theme for the event.

The Adam Cole vs. Kyle O'Reilly match was so underwhelming.
To me, the video package they showed a week ago on NXT was better than what the match delivered.
First of all, the theme songs suck for both men. Secondly, they come out and play to the crowd, dance or jive, whatever it may be to their music and then stand opposite of each other.
They apparently want at each other so much, why didn't they have it that Cole came out first and O'Reilly attacked him from behind, fighting around the arena trying to destroy each other?? Instead we get wrestling moves??
I don't know, maybe it's because I have been watching a lot of Mid South Wrestling on the WWE Network lately, but an unsanctioned match should be wild and intense. I just felt like that was a typical WWE hardcore style match tonight. Nothing unsanctioned about it!

WALTER/Ciampa is probably my favorite match from the whole event. Cole/KOR from night 2.

Walter/Ciampa was fantastic. Give Walter the Bruno run

I was really only interested in Cole vs O’reilly and I’m kinda bummed I didn’t enjoy it. It felt like it went in forever and they were just doing spots that everyone has already done. I would have much preferred a basic match with some story telling like the Balor/O’reilly matches over this

Y'all are crazy, the main event was so damn good. They obviously wanna recreate some of that Gargano/Ciampa magic and I think this came very close to their best encounters.
Walter/Ciampa was the best match of overall for me too though, will be right up there for my match of the year.

Night 2 was way less engaging for me than night 1, which is disappointing because I thought the card was more interesting. Match of the entire event was definitely Ciampa vs. Walter.
Biggest mark out moment of night 2 was seeing Christian Casanova among O'Reilly's security team.

Night two was tremendous.
The ladder match was fantastic. Both guys were so good.
The women's tag title match was really good. Shotzi and Ember really do make a great team. I'll be curious who is the next team to challenge them, especially with Raquel as singles champion now.
Gargano-Reed was great. I'm really impressed with Reed. I like the fact that it took two of Gargano's finishers to put him away.
Kross-Finn was very good because Finn is just amazing. He made Kross look like a champion. This was Kross's best match in NXT because of his opponent. Personally, I hope this leads to a return of the demon, but we'll see.
Cole-KOR was just awesome. An incredible display of physicality and storytelling. I loved that match. It is my MOTY so far, but Walter-Ciampa isn't too far behind. I can totally understand choosing that match.
Good luck to the main roster. They are going to need it to compete with these last two days.

For those with Peacock issues like me. I watch via Apple TV on my TV and use their remote. You can't pause or rewind, etc.
However, we used our iPad last night as a test and were able to use our finger and run the player back to the start of the show ... and can pause it.
So it looks like Peacock just needs to make sure all platforms are up to speed.

I'm completely fine with Kross as champion too. So glad they humanised him and gone all in on his MMA stuff. Just a hint of the spooky stuff to keep him interesting, not to mention his obvious improvements in ring and you have a very respectable champion for your brand.
Whoever dethrones him is gonna be a made man.

I see Finn going after WALTER next.
You'd THINK Kyle or Reed would go after Kross next, but sadly I predict Lumis.
Cole may not be done with Kyle as that story isn't over (Strong still involved).
I'd like to see Dunne go after Gargano but I think it'll be LA Night or Knight or whatever his name is now.
Not sure who goes after Escobar next. Scott perhaps.

He said in an interview he had whoever won the title match, he beat Kushida, and watched the main event from the crowd.

woke up this morning and remembered they ing killed Adam Cole's theme...and it made me angrysad Hearing O’Reilly and Coles new themes, I couldn’t help but think back to what Jim Johnston said about the new themes not tapping into any of the wrestlers character. They both sounded so generic for two guys who were the main event. Finn/Walter makes sense, it was the match that was supposed to happen before the pandemic. Question is would they have Finn lose back to back like that. I still feel like your next UK champ is probably going to be Davey Boy Jr. once he debuts. It just seems like something they would do when he comes back. Id love to see Cole vs. Strong in a feud and this way O’Reilly could go after Gargano (I feel like it would be better for him to work his way up then just throw him back in the NXT title picture) but I feel like we’re more likely to get the Strong heel turn swerve on O’Reilly and then Fish returns for reDragon to even the sides. I see Finn going after WALTER next. You'd THINK Kyle or Reed would go after Kross next, but sadly I predict Lumis. Cole may not be done with Kyle as that story isn't over (Strong still involved). He said in an interview he had whoever won the title match, he beat Kushida, and watched the main event from the crowd. I feel like Kross being champion kinda puts you in a funny situation. The guy doesn’t really do much to carry a match and be a 5 star wrestler, and his gimmick is kinda meh at best. Idk I dont love the guy maybe im in the minority but I feel like he needs guys who can carry him in matches which is why I feel like he’s gone up against guys like Ciampa, Balor, Escobar, and Lee (although admittedly Lee did nothing to carry their match either). So putting him against Dunne is probably the best option right now. As far as the event itself I kinda saw bits and pieces of both nights so Id have to go back and rewatch everything before I judge but I did enjoy Walter/Ciampa.

Im hoping Dragunov is the one to finally take the title from WALTER but if Finn is interested in going over to the NXT UK brand for a while I would love to see him be the first to hold both titles.
