I second the sentiment that you should never trouble yourself with what a figure is "worth" unless you are interested in the resale market.
A figure is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. If looking at a personal figure, it's only worth what YOU are willing to pay for it.
I'm trying to collect one of every WWE Woman. However, I'm not a Vickie Guerrero fan. I bought a used figure of hers for 5 dollars. To me? Vickie Guerrero is worth 5 dollars.
But flashback Big Show? That's a bill of a figure anyday. Can't complete the corporation without him. To me, Flashback Big Show is worth at least 100 dollars.
Note that, in both these cases, they aren't the same price as retail. One is 5x above retail while the other is 1/4 the retail price. (It was the 2-Pack Vickie)
Bottom line is this. Don't concern yourself with market value. It's only there for people trying to make money. Buy at YOUR price and what works for YOU.
