This situation with scalpers is ridiculous these days....why exactly is it like this now? ....I can remember very well going into stores during the Jakks era & being able to find the new series & pretty much every wrestler in those series with no problems.....why is it so different these days? This video explains why pegs often remain empty after figures are sold out in the toy aisles. That’s a phenomenal video. Very insightful And makes sense. To WalMart or Target, the toys are doing great because it’s selling to their business model/concept. They don’t realize the way toys are sold vs other items. This is why I’m constantly stating Hasbro, Mattel and others should make manufacturers reps to go into stores and ensure both quality and quantity. I think they would be really surprised at the potential.

I missed Legends series 9 at two different Targets over the last two days. D@mn scalpers!!! Well I know the one store was hit by scalpers because they are now for sale on T0y W!z’s site and my friend at Target told me who bought them. The other store i just missed out on because it was across the river and I have never seen the T0y W!z people at this store before. Plus it was the same two remaining figures that I left on the pegs last Saturday.

I'm no fan of scalpers either, but this just sounds like they beat you to the punch on this occasion.

not everyone who waits around like that are scalpers. i know someone who waits around what target from when they open for 2-6 hours which is pretty bad in itself but they don't re sell

It’s refreshing to see one from someone who used to be so heavily in the industry give an explanation from a place of knowing rather than just a collector or opinion piece.

Again, toys move and are sold differently than any other item, really need people devoted to it.

When there's toys there will always be scalpers. There is really nothing you can due to prevent it. I helped my buddy who collects MOTU Origins figures get 4 figures before the scalpers did a couple weeks ago. He even thinks scalpers are terrible.
