This is just crap for all the wrestlers going in. They really should just postpone it until the wrestlers can be in front of their peers & fans.

Can’t postpone something that’s already happened. Fans shouldn’t be in attendance anyway, the ruin the ceremony.

Good. The goof that tried to assault Bret Hart should tell you that fans should be nowhere near Hall of Fame ceremonies anyway.

The best years for the Hall of Fame, were when they were basically in ball rooms, and the only people in the audience were wrestlers and other people in the business. Once they started filling up an arena with fans for it, it ruined it. You don't need the fans for the ceremony, the fans can cheer the the next night at Mania when they bring the year's class out on stage.

The only reason that fan managed to attack Hart was because of the bizarre layout change. Wouldn't have happened otherwise

Are wrestlers and legends appearing this year? That would be the perfect situation honestly

I don’t plan on watching any of it this year, but I will say that fans are good to give out legitimate appreciation to those going in. Unfortunately they also do things that are super annoying at times.

Unpopular opinion here - but fans should've never been allowed to attend the HOF. It's supposed to be a ceremony for the current performers to honour those who came before them, and fans constantly ruin it with their "OnE mOrE mAtCh" and "YoU dEsErVe It" chants. Save that **** for actual wrestling events.

Fans ruin the hall of fame. Yelling, chanting, making a scene.....it’s annoying and disrespectful.
Imagine at the Oscars, Tom Hanks is giving a speech and people started WHATing him or yelling ONE MORE MOVIE!
That guy attacking Bret Hart a few years ago was the last straw.
Fans are the worst part of wrestling in general because too many of them don’t know how to behave. I wish they would keep the Thunderdome forever even after COVID is over. With people having been quarantined for the better part of a year, I’m sure they will be on their WORST behavior once they start going places again.

The only reason why fans were allowed at the HOF starting in 2005 is because Vince knew that fans would pay money to see the likes of Hogan, Piper, Sheik, etc. get put into the HOF that year.
My absolute favourite HOF ever was the 2004 one. I remember buying it on DVD and it felt so taboo for me to watch it, like I was seeing stuff I wasn't supposed to see.
The giant arena HOF shows get sabotaged at times by the idiotic fans in attendance.

I hope they return to not having fans full-time. The old ceremonies when it was like a gala dinner with just wrestlers and guests were so much more dignified and enjoyable to watch.

An audience of current and past performers is all that’s needed for the HOF. Fan chants just drag out the event forever.

That whole set up, with the tables on either side of the podium, where the inductee sat with their inductor was perfect. When it was done like that, and the crowd was current and past wrestlers, people in the business and family and friends of the inductees, it was perfect, it felt like it was something special. Once they started with the fans being involved, and the big stage, it just felt like they were putting on a wrestling show, without any wrestling on it. Like I said previously, the segment at WrestleMania where they would bring out the year's class, that should be the only involvement of the fans with the Hall of Fame. Let them come out on stage, and the fans can give them all the chants they want, but for the Hall of Fame ceremony itself, that night should be just for the people in the company.

I'd like that format. Air it live sometime when there is no conflict the next day. Let the speeches and inductions go as long as possible. Get the drinks flowing, people can get loose and have the ceremony go deep into the night.
