Hi All,
I have 2 Hasbro ring sound boxes one has an on/off switch while the other hasn't is there a reason for this, did it come with a certain ring? more or less rare?
I will be keeping the on off one and probably selling the other, so it is just for an information purpose as i want to know what i have and cant find anything on the difference of them.

I don’t know the answer, but you would be better off posting this in the WFT: Other Brands section, as that’s where the WWF Hasbro experts hang out more.

I have tried to i dont know if it has worked i hope so. I know some were released with the ring I don't know if you could buy them separately. If you wanna get in touch i can show you one working. however i have sold my spare one now  |

Wow -- my rings DEFINITELY did not come with that. Does anyone know which ones did -- or how you could have bought it back in the day? I THINK these were UK exclusives. I had one as a kid. Mine had the on/off switch. |

I had one with mine here in the uk. I don’t recall if they sold with and without over here so I’m assuming all uk ones come with it?

These are the boxes they came in, dont know if they were ever done loose, I do think they were either UK or Europe exclusive just because if the dual language but dont think these were released in US.  |

Not UK exclusive, not EU exclusive; for some reason the UK and Spain had them.
Also Sears or something alike.

And does the sound box attach to the ring? Or you just use them separately. I would have LOVED LOVED this as a kid...

That is AWESOME -- though the crowd sound is like someone's getting shocked by the Mountie's nightstick -- the sound isn't perfect on the 1-2-3 or bells either, but overall -- AWESOME.

They werent the best sound but it was 30 years ago. Both of mine worked perfect.

In my experience, the one WITH the switch is harder to track down. I have them both and there really isn’t any difference between the two. To the best of my knowledge, they were never available in the USA. However, I did have this generic version seen in someone else’s video. I wasn’t aware Hasbro made the same one until decades later. I remember the ring broke almost immediately. Apparently it was the same mold as the LJN bendy ring. Whatever the case, the ring was tossed at some point but I kept the sound module for many years after that.    |

It looks like the one with the on off switch is more rare but no real diff in value i dont think |
