I think certain guys just can't outlast certain eras. Delrio may have been a convincing heel in the 2010's due to the lack of heels. But he was a good lead heel for 2010-2014; but after that point I don't see Delrio thriving in WWE. Same with Ryback; or the thought of Sheamus ever being a big time player. They're big shot players in the early 2010's and past that it's hard to convince me. I think Austin's time in the sun just was over.
I think; we would of seen HHH/Austin feud resume in 2003. A Goldberg program; I am sure a program with HBK would of stemmed up.
I am sure he would go to SmackDown in 2004/2005 and maybe knock heads with Guerrero; Booker T Taker. Maybe catch Brock on his way out.
A rookie John Cena; Randy Orton, Edge are around 2006/2007. And I am sure Batista.
I would love to see Edge/Austin; but I think it would just of held other stars up; and I think Austin in 2002 already stuck out enough. I think Austin's best in ring work was 2001. By 2002; You could tell his spot was receding. I wish we got a better 2002 with Austin; with a stronger Eddie program and a Brock program.
