Well I'm not here to complaint about store exclusives but being an international buyer and a legends collector the only available source for me is Ringside. I feel like it is a crime to put FTITL legends as store exclusive. King Harley, Greg the hammer and now the barbarian is store exclusive. Is it a good idea to put FTITL legend as exclusive?

Of course it isn’t, but they (Mattel/RS) won’t be up front about it and why. Steve says ask RS, you ask RS and they don’t respond. That’s why I went from spending around $1,000 or so a year at RS to just buying RS exc and now just over spend on the bay or driving around for a month + looking. Their loss in the end. Hell, couldn’t get an answer about Kama, so I just dropped $70 for him.

A lot of these are niche figures that need a small production run to get made. If not for these store exclusives a lot of these characters would never see the light of day. Better to be hard to get than not able to get at all.

Better to be hard to get than not able to get at all. How about making these RSC exclusives. If we fail to purchase it's our fault? Maybe.

Warlord isn’t a fitl figure he was first released a couple years ago in a regular elite set.

Harley Race came out around 2.5 years ago (Nov 2018 from my email) so two FTIL examples over 2.5 yrs isn't a lot.
Store exclusives suck, but they aren't going away.
Mattel is really in the worst spot because they have to please retailers that want exclusives, WWE that wants the main focus to be on the current product, the general population that shop for wrestlers that their kids want, and then a large group of collectors that want different things.
For example, collectors are upset that there are repaints/re-releases in the Legend/Flashback lines and then on the flip side, you have collectors upset that the store exclusive Legend/Flashback line have FTIL characters.
The best thing to hope for is that the Legends line continues to be successful and eventually the line opens up to all retailers and Target gets a new exclusive line.
In the meantime, there are a lot of people on here that seem to be willing to help out each other so if you need an exclusive, another option is to reach out to some members here. A lot of people here will trade or ship for cost plus shipping.

Upset that Kama is an exclusive because there's no way I'd find it.

I found 2 Muraco figures at my local Shop-Rite grocery store a couple months ago. And as of yesterday they still had both of Nakamura and Fox figures. The two Hardy figures went sometime last week when they put them on sale for $14. I almost bought one then but changed my mind by the time I got to the frozen food aisle. lol

I hardly ever see the Walmart exclusives around me. The only set I actually saw in person was DOD series 2. I never saw DOD 1, any of the Survivor Series sets, and almost none of the exclusive elites.

King Harley Race Bob Backlund Sensational Sherri Pat Patterson Gerald Brisco Don Muraco Gorilla Monsoon Wendi Richter Greg The Hammer Valentine All FTITL store exclusives. 5 of those are collector's editions in the main elite line. I'm pretty sure AFA said that the collector's editions were open for International retailers to order if they want them and even other exclusive lines.
There is a UK online retailer that is still currently selling Yoko/Syxx/Warrior/Mean Gene from the Walmart Flashback exclusive.
That same retailer also carried the Network Spotlight and Survivor Series Set (also selling the Royal Rumble set). Not sure if they had the Flashback Series with Race, but we know Canada and I believe Australia got them.
I think there was a time that the UK wasn't ordering all of the main elite line (picking 4 figures out of the 6) - not sure if that has changed, but it seems like there are issues with retailer interest with the line in the UK. It doesn't appear that Mattel is stopping them from ordering the exclusives.

I dont mind store exclusives if Mattel could just me consistent with their distribution (LOL).....There's a HUGE problem when I can find tons of Gorilla Monsoon and none of Jim Neidhart......I can find a ton of Billy Kay/Peyton Royce but none of Liv or Sonya....Legends series 8 clogs pegs, legends series 9 never shows up
Regardless of what they want to say every single "issue" falls back onto Mattel's lap and 11 years into it they still dont have competent people to sort it out.

Absolutely, it falls on Mattel and no amount of excuses or passoffs can change that.
