Getting rid of Joe has to be one of the dumbest / most confusing decisions I’ve seen in a long time.

Like they didn’t wanna risk putting him back in the ring and he didn’t wanna retire? Rumor floating is that they offered him a deal to be strictly a commentator and he rejected it.

Little surprised by the Joe and Iconics but everyone will be better off for it.Assume Joe probably still wanted to wrestle and the WWE wouldn't let him so they came to terms on a release,he was solid on commentary but not someone that was can't misses or replaceable. As far as where everyone will end up pretty sure Joe & the Iconics will be in AEW(as other pointed out AEW is in the same boat as WWE with and extremely bloated roster and not know what to do with half the roster or more)and see the likes Chelsea Green and Kalisto going to IMPACT while I would be beyond stunned if Mickie James doesn't end up in NWA alongside her husband. Again if their was another promotion starting up to become the 3rd brand in North America behind WWE & AEW the time would be right now with the talent on the open market and hopefully in a few months or by the end of the year the return of the fans and mostly a full crowd. You have the likes of, ACH Alberto Del Rio Andrade Austin Aries Big Cass Bubba Ray Dudley Carlito Chris Hero CM Punk Davey Boy Smith Jr(well he might be WWE bound) Davey Richards Enzo Kurt Angle Marty Scrull Michael Elgin Mr.Kennedy Rob Van Dam Ryback Samoe Joe Tessa Blanchard and many others(wouldn't suggest signing all of these talents and obviously some like Del Rio,Elgin,Scrull,Tessa have major baggage) Bubba's practically retired, CM Punk is never coming back, Kurt Angle can hardly walk, RVD will have nothing left by the time he leaves TNA, and if you subtract the wrestlers that have major baggage or are just unprofessional in general you have a roster of like... 8 with no major players.

I’m hoping that we don’t get any NXT call ups this year, or next year actually. Even with these cuts, the roster is still unnecessarily large. There’s enough people sitting in catering doing nothing, we don’t need more. Getting rid of Joe has to be one of the dumbest / most confusing decisions I’ve seen in a long time. You think it was almost mutual? Like they didn’t wanna risk putting him back in the ring and he didn’t wanna retire? Possibly. Maybe they wanted him to commentate but he wanted to wrestle. We’ll probably find out in the next few days.

Really hope that Joe ends up having a run in NWA on his first post WWE career.Easy storyline to be made between him and Aldis and a Aldis/Joe program and NWA Title match could really elevate the company and title to levels it hasn't been baring Aldis/Cody in decades.

I honestly thought there was no way they were releasing him because of Gronk

Triple H said recently that Gronk still hopes to come in when his playing days are over.

Triple H said recently that Gronk still hopes to come in when his playing days are over. Then maybe Mojo will come back then. Or, he won’t since Gronk has his foot in the door now without him.

Im pissed about Joe and the IIconics.
The fact that they broke up one of their best female tag teams for absolutely nothing is frustrating. While Nia Jax of all people are one half of the Womens Tag Champions.

I expect Mojo to be pretty much totally out of wrestling in the not too distant future. He’s never come off as a guy who actually loves it. More so just an athlete who found a way to extend his playing career through WWE. I can’t see him grinding on the Indies or even in ROH. The only place he somewhat fits is Impact and that’s just because their roster is super thin and has the lowest bar for work rate if you can somewhat talk. Maybe he’ll surprise me.

Part of me worries for Jeff Hardy. I don’t THINK they would as he’s a good merch mover and favorite of fans, and they just lost their dad too... but then again I doubt they really care about that. Fingers crossed he isn’t on the chopping block.

Sad times and really feel for the guys who have been released, it’s part of the system, no one is there forever and WWE is constantly evolving. Some were shocking namely Joe and Royce. Something tells me Nikki Cross maybe added to this list.
