Never in a million years would I have guessed that the HBK Shawn Michaels Ultimate Edition figure would become the most expensive figure in this line to obtain. Prices for this figure have gone through the roof and when it was released a lot of folks panned it.

The faces aren’t even good. It is an attire from one of the biggest angles in all of wrestling so it makes sense I guess

I believe UE4 never made it to retail. Might explain the price.

I passed on it for like $80 on Amazon back in November. Guess that was dumb. It’s like triple that price now.

I think I paid $45 from RSC, and even then I was squirming about spending that much. SO glad I got it. But I paid dearly for the Rock.

Seems like most of the UEs are going sky high in price lately.
Shawn Michaels is definitely the most expensive to get on the secondary market, followed by Ultimate Warrior, and then The Rock. Bret Hart and Triple H are going up in value as well.
As soon as Ringside sells out of Brock Lesnar he will be in the triple digits in a few weeks. Same with Cena. I can't even imagine how much Charlotte Flair and Hollywood Hogan will be going for a year or so from now.

Goes to show you, buy every Ultimate. These things are only going up. Even Nakamura and Ronda who are low will eventually start to rise.

I regret not buying 2 at the time. And the one I bought had two of the same screaming headscans (like they showed in the original proto pics).

The whole line seems to just be doubling in price a week after release it feels like. I had the first 3 sets MOC but then when it was announced that UK wouldn't be getting these at retail, I was out. I kinda thought this would happen, if the Defining Moments line is anything to go buy. Even the later released DM figures like the Taker re release and Sting are going for big prices!

I'd never have guessed that the line would catch this much fire. The 30 dollar price point scared me right off at the beginning, and I didn't care for most of the figs (the first I bought was HHH, and I still don't really like it). Considering how badly Ronda and Nakamura warmed for awhile it was really looking like another failed line of high-priced figures.

Glad I pulled the trigger when I did with RSC. Less glad I took it apart to make an elite late career Michaels.
My plan was to order one to make sure I could make that custom (since Mattel is staunchly against it for some reason). I planned to pick up a second to leave as is when I found him at retail. Never came to retail and I never got that second Michaels.
What's worse is that the deco on one of the chaps' legs placement is off and will forever drive me nuts.

It’s because it never came to retail. I passed an passed on RS price because I had seen every other UE a million times in stores. Brock looks like every other attire they release so for whatever reason that’s still available.

I learned quick to get the ultimates I wanted when they’re at a good price. I cringed hard buying Shawn off of RSC but it obviously turned out to be a good purchase.
Big names = big money when they go out of stock

I've bought them all since the line started. Wish I picked up more than 1 in hindsight being that I've only paid retail for all 16. The only ones I bought 2 of were Warrior, Bret, Hogan & Savage.

And because it is Montreal Shawn, it is one of my most prized figures in my collection.

I remember passing on Warrior in Target when it first came out. I couldn’t fathom spending $30 plus tax on a figure in stores at the time. Now, fast forward to today, I’m addicted to this line and plan on collecting them all. I even have Becky, Ronda and Charlotte and I never have been one to collect female characters. This line and the hype around it has turned into something very special. It’s my most sought after line of figures right now. I’m so excited to get that Flair and display it next to Charlotte.

I passed on that HBK too since the Ultimate is bad imo. The headscans look nothing like HBK and considering how much the ultimate was worth I passed.

I buy two of every HBK, one to open and one to keep MOC on the wall. I preordered one from RSC and figured I’d get me second when it hit retail. Unfortunately, that never happened and prices went up like crazy. Luckily, at the end of February, a seller on Amazon listed a few for $48 and I was able to snag my second. Really didn’t think the listing was real as it was listed on Amazon days before for $299.
