Hello everyone,
I run www.WrestlingFigureDatabase.com, and I am attempting to determine a definitive checklist for the Japanese Pro Wrestling Alliance Bullmark figures. We're also looking for sample pictures of these figures carded/bagged, if possible.
We have Inoki, Baba, Sakaguchi, and Michiaki (http://www.wrestlingfiguredatabase.com/bullmark.html), but the rest of the series seems to be up to interpretation depending on who you ask. I've seen checklists that include the following: 1. Rikidozan 2. Dick Beyer 3. Mr. X 4. Mr. Z
Based on my sources, I'm inclined to believe the series is filled out only by Mr. X and Mr. Z, with Rikidozan likely being a later release and Dick Beyer being a misinterpretation of the masked characters.
Not a lot of info on this line out there, so would appreciate any help!
Thanks!

Are these the oldest known figures (mass produced)?

Years ago ICHIBAN 一番 and myself compiled a list for the 1969 JWA-line by Bullmark:
Antonio Inoki (regarded a foreigner back then): green trunks Seiji Sakaguchi: blue trunks Shohei Baba (Giant Baba): red trunks Michiaki Yoshimura: white trunks Dr. X / Killer X (not sure if it was Dick Beyer) Rikidözan (foreigner; korean)
Looking back: Medicom Toy (re)released Killer X and Killer Z... However; Bullmark was founded after the bankruptcy of Marusan, so Killer X and Killer Z might as well be anime characters from Tiger Mask (the anime not the wrestler). Rikidozan might've been a Medicom Toy release that fooled us because he had a belt; Bullmark figures had molded on belts (except the mysterious Killer X), the Medicom Toy rereleases don't have a belt.

Here's what we've come up with: www.wrestlingfiguredatabase.com/bullmark.html. JunkShopDog, who I've come to rely on for their JP figure collecting knowledge, is the person who sent me the Mr. X and Mr. Z, and he took pictures of the foot stamps and I think they are Bullmark. Oddly, I haven't come across a Rikidozan yet. Do you happen to have pictures of him?
If I'm reading this right, I think the "safest" checklist for Bullmark is Inoki, Baba, Yoshimura, and Sakaguchi...everyone else seems to be up for interpretation...What do you think?
Ruby, do you know anyone that would have definitive list for this? This is the hardest line we've covered yet!

Are these the oldest known figures (mass produced)? Believe so. There is a Gorgeous George doll, but these are thus far the oldest in a style that's still around today (Medicom is still rereleasing these original Bullmarks and even WWE characters in this style). Also, not sure if everyone's familiar, but these guys are about 10" tall and are expensive!

Well years ago member ICHIBAN 一番 and myself made this list, none of us owned a Bullmark figure, I had just completed my loose Popy set. The X and Z guy remain mysteries, I don't think they belong to this line but to an anime line. Rikidozan is probably only by Medicom Toy. Being rare and loose going for $300 - 350 without shipping or bidding fees these are expensive so I still don't own any, I think Sakaguchi and Yoshimura can be found the cheapest.

Well the X and Z guys mystery remains; their japanese names ころしやX (Koroshi ya X) and ころしやZ (Koroshi ya Z) translate to Hitman X and Hitman Z...

We can categorically say both Mr X and Mr Z are part of the pro wrestling line - They have markings on the foot that translate to "Japan Pro Wrestling"; and packaged versions have identical carding to the others.

Ok, I found some information: Mr. X is actually Killer X; a masked Frank Townsend. Frank Townsend's profile. A Killer X match:
