Curious question about the Wcw galoob US Steiner Brothers release (Rick with 2 tone purple singlet & Scott with black & yellow singlet) ......Were these attires ever actually worn by them or are they just fabricated for these figures? ....If they wore them in any notable match or at an event what were they? ....It seems like I sorta remember Scott maybe wearing his at some point but I could be wrong

They were worn but the paint apps are slightly less detailed. I believe Scotty actually had yellow pinstripes inside the black and Ricks was a different shade of purple and had some kinda texture design on it..I wanna say it as a GAB attire maybe?

I’ve seen pics of the more detailed prototypes you’re talking about but I actually like the colors better the way they were officially released .....I found a video on YouTube of the Steiners vs the Andersons at Wrestle War 90 & Scotty is wearing the singlet in that match but Rick’s is completely different from his figure ....so that’s one of them narrowed down to at least one event although it’s strange that they added blue laces to his boots & left off his knee pads on the figure |

Theres a guy on IG or twitter...the collectre or something like that...Im pretty sure he had ref pics for all of the galoobs

Awesome thanks man....I’ve never seen that promo pic with those attires, if I have I don’t remember it but that does explain the blue laces & why Scott’s knee pads were left off of his figure.....any idea about their attires on the UK galoob releases? ....Now I’m curious about those as well, those look to be something like they wore in the Wwf especially Scotty’s |

Final products lacked detail. I just realized the final products also had different head sculpts, especially Scotty’s....he has an open mouth smile on the official release & Rick looks a bit more intense or PO’d on his |

Think it was when they beat the Freebirds for the titles. The singlet is actually yellow I believe though |

The Galoobs were interesting. As a kid, I always thought the outfits were random.    I’ve never seen the prototype of Rick in yellow, wonder why they chose to make his singlet green instead? ....You happen to have any reference pics of Scott actually wearing the singlet his UK release is wearing? |
