Love the RnS connection 2 pack. Any guess for the one after? Mega Powers? Mania 1 Mr.T & Hogan? I would think that the Mega Powers would be coming eventually in this line. They are two of the biggest stars ever and we haven't gotten those attires yet for them from Mattel. Too bad they didn't make this one around the time the Summer Slam Liz came out, that probably would have helped sell her figure a little better. There’s no reason they couldn’t do a Mega Powers elite 2 pack with cloth shirts, headbands, glasses for macho, and swappable hands. |

It's strange how the Bulldog and Bossman heads from years ago look better than these current/True FX ones... I like the Rock n’ Sock two pack. Definitely gonna grab that. I always thought the blue pants Mankind was a unique look, though I still want a brown tights Mankind Elite (we got a Basic, but never an Elite). Given how that was the attire he had when he took the infamous bump(s) off Hell in the Cell with Taker, it’s shocking that they never made that into an Elite yet.Yeah, it's arguably his most iconic look... I'd have MUCH preferred it over the blue sweatpants. why y’all complain when Mattel constantly does dark colors then when they do a bright color y’all complain that you wanted a dark color lol |

Basics were good to okay for a while. I stopped in 2015; and it’s just consistent garbage. It’s good for the kiddies and parents. But; I’ll take a RA over a basic any day of the week now.

Rock n Sock is solid af though Basics were awesome for a long time. Now... Well, in their favor? There's several examples of recent basics that either didn't or won't get elites. That Championship Showdown MNM Seth is the exact one I was looking for, I doubt we'll be getting an elite of that, although can't be sure. There's several women's figures that we only got basics of or that basics were all I had/have access to. Also, I think I've bought what, five? Six? Something like half a dozen of the Wrestlemania Basic Shane's and another half dozen of the Battle Pack suited Shanes, both for customs.
All I do is display my figures. Basics have several purposes which we can all argue till we're blue in the face. But for someone like me who just stands them up and puts them on a shelf?
I'll take a Basic over nothing at all.

It honestly makes no sense why they’d give him limited articulation. This is why I’m trying to figure out which one to get. At least I can use the knee braces from the basic Austin. Interesting that both Mankind’s have the removable mask. You’d think the basic one would be moulded on. Is that the consensus? It definitely looks like the previous Mankind scan (elite and basic). Was hoping for a new scan at least if they are putting out a third elite and second basic. |

I know I’m a Kane nerd so I’ll see things as more annoying as most others will but how do you **** this up so bad? You get Kane’s left wristband wrong without any studs and then put a ‘KANE’ logo on his glove while not putting the studs on either? Just why? What the hell are Mattel smoking? AFA any reasons for this nonsense? It’s just bizarre. You add the silver detail on both arms and erase that stupid logo that he’s never had and that’s one of the best basics ever made. Beggars belief. Utter stupidness. I’m with you. Mattel set the bar incredibly high with their accuracy since taking over the WWE line and gave us a quality and accuracy we hadn’t received under jakks. However, there is an alarming increase in inaccuracies and shortcuts and lack of consistency. Gauntlets round the wrong way on the SS Kane, completely missing from the DOD2 and now just plain black without the studs, like what happened with the SS belt. It’s not like these are hidden or non obvious things too, any single pic of Kane in the given attires would show it. I just don’t get where the attention to detail is going or why it is slipping. To have to buy multiple figures to have parts to make one correct suggests the ball has been dropped. I’m thankful we finally have a better and decent scan even though it took so long, but the gauntlet is embarrassing. I just wish there was consistency and accuracy. |
