At the new Allegiant Stadium that has a 65,000 seating capacity.
WWE is wanting this to be "The Biggest Summerslam Of All Time"

I’d debate going if it were somewhere else. Vegas sucks.

Hope they really make SummerSlam into something special this year.Would book the two World Title matches as Reigns Vs Jimmy for the Universal Title with Jey as the special guest referee and then have Bobby Lashley face a big named legend to help sell the show like Edge,Goldberg or Brock.

I’m in that stage where I only tune in to watch the main event highlights. I feel old, but mostly sad that all my favorites are retired or dead. It’s weird to not enjoy something you’ve liked for the last 24ish years anymore. I hope they at least put some effort into the stage and not just make some giant LED crap.

The Observer reported either yesterday or 2 days ago that they had no intention of doing it in a arena and wanted it to be in a stadium setting.

If I’m Mark Davis I don’t allow it. I don’t let anything other than the Raiders week 1 game be the first live crowd there. I personally think the Raiders and their fans deserve that.

Is it going to be at full capacity or is it in a stadium so they can distance people? Either way, I’m all for it. Hopefully it gets the Wrestlemania treatment and has a themed stage.

They have a soft live event set for sometime in June for a private event. The 1st big live event at the stadium is scheduled for early July (music DJ) & then July 10th a Garth Brooks concert is set. So SummerSlam is possible.

Cena vs Heel Roman with Cena going after the record breaking win against the head of the table is a pretty big god damn main event.

Cena-Roman in this setting would be enough to get me to watch Summerfest.
Wonder who they major guest host they have is.

Stupid move.
Logistically, WWE is really banking on a hyped fan base for this one.
Las Vegas is notorious for bad WWE houses. There's just way too much to do in the city. To sell out an arena like this one is going to bank on tons of people traveling for the event.
Adding to Las Vegas' already huge influx of travelers is going to be a nightmare. I was there last week and all I heard from the locals was how its the busiest they've ever seen the city since vaccination rollouts and more relaxed mandates. This is going to continue for the next year while more and more people get comfortable going out. Imagine adding thousands of people to that city for the addition of SummerSlam. The city is going to suck to get around.
To top it off, they already announced a Manny Pacquiao fight IN LAS VEGAS THE SAME NIGHT! What the hell is WWE thinking?!
Maybe if WrestleMania wasn't full of fans and SummerSlam was the true first big event back, people would flock like crazy. I think those die hard fans already got their taste for now with two nights of a live WrestleMania. I'm not saying they won't go back out for this one, but a lot less people will be racing to get this trip booked.
Why not take this to a WWE city where you don't need to bank on travel and compete with other attractions? They could get a good house with an already strong local audience and fill it out with people traveling to the show. New York, LA, NOLA, Chicago, Texas, Miami...there were a dozen better choices.

I think Nashville would have been the better option.
I also saw Metlife Stadium where they held Wrestlemania 35 was on the list of stadiums being considered

I bet lots of new stadiums don’t have their first event be for the sports team it’s built for. I doubt anyone going to the game week 1 will be like “I wish they didn’t have SummerSlam and all these other concerts take place before us!”
