Wow....I don’t believe I’ve ever seen poll results here before that are so evenly divided into a tie (30 & 30 at the moment) Haha. Yeah i'm in the same shape as before I asked. I'm really split also. Man you’ve gotta let us know what you decide

If you have this much conflict about it, then play it safe and def don’t open. The MOC value will continue to rise

It's the only set from Matty Collector that I kept MOC. I just had Marty sign it this year. Now I need HBK sig.

Ok, so here's the thing.
The poll doesn't matter. Really, for a decision this big, you need to decide for yourself. Otherwise, you will regret it either way.
Things to consider.
1. You are NEVER getting another of those MOC. Ever. Ain't happening. Once you unbox those, you will never have them again 2. How important is filling that hole on your shelf? If it's strictly about filling the shelf and the MOC figures have no inherent extra value to you, perhaps do as mentioned and sell the loose ones and buy them loose? Which brings me to... 3. How much do you want to gamble? It's said a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. That's true with figures as well. There aren't a ton of those things floating around and they are almost certainly never making another set. How much do you want to gamble on being able to trade the MOC for the loose? Can you afford to purchase the loose ones first and then sell the MOC? Or do you need to sell the MOC to afford the loose? These are things to take into consideration yourself, not just listen to a poll on a website.
Weigh your options carefully. You'll likely only get one shot at this.
Oh, and one more word of advice. If you aren't a trusted seller on ebay, your value as a seller is much lower. If you've never sold on ebay or elsewhere before, I wouldn't expect to get a full secondary market value on that set. Take this into account when deciding on if you want to sell the MOC and replace it with a loose pair. You could end up losing money in the end.
Just my thoughts on the matter.

I think the best option is to try and find a mint loose set of them, once you have them then sell the MOC set.

I’m all for opening figures, but this is a BIG no. That set is already worth a ton. Best to keep it sealed at this point and maybe look for some looseys

I like the idea of making a small profit by selling the MOC and buying loose. But it's not going to be a lot of money. Big friggin deal really. And anyone that says NOOOOO is all about resell. If you don't care about resell, why even ask? Open it up. Holding on to it for years and then selling it won't make you rich anyway.

No sir not everyone saying no is about resell....my collection is Moc....I have some figures that command a pretty decent penny these days & I have no desire to sell them, ever.....some like myself, just like the way they look in packaging....I actually consider it part of the figure strange as that sounds to some collectors

Buy them loose in the condition you prefer; then sell your MOC version for more than you paided for the loose ones.
A WIN WIN!!

I buy to open 90% of the time, maybe more. But I said 'No' on this one because, as some have pointed out, it's rare to find them MOC these days, and I don't think it's worth taking one more out of the collecting equation. Once they're opened, you can't undo it. And just because you're not getting rich off it someday doesn't mean it's not worth leaving MOC. But to each their own.
