I have Shaw Michaels and Marty Jannetty mint in box with the white mailer from Matty Collector. I don’t collect boxed WWE anymore and don’t have loose copies of these two. They are the only elites from the golden era that I still need loose (besides unreleased). Not sure wether to open or save them for the future. If I save them I’ll need to buy 2 anyway.

If you are a loose collector and don’t plan on ever getting rid of them, their in box value shouldn’t matter. I say either open, or sell for enough to buy them mint loose and have extra cash left over to buy something else you need.

If you dont want to buy a pair loose to display, then sell your moc one and buy a loose pair. You'll come out ahead.

Once they are opened they can't be moc again and immediately lose so much value. If you have no use for displaying them that way, sell boxed and then buy loose and you'll have some extra money left over.

They are toys !!! You want to have them loose so open them. You will spend too much time selling them MOC and finding them loose (with the risk of having a package lost or damaged).

Open them! You’ll get great satisfaction from that. I just opened a King Harley Race, these figures are worth almost as much in mint loose condition if you’re concerned about value.

Normally I would say no, but if they are the only figs needed to complete a loose collection then you’ve got to have them loose one way or the other

I have the same issue with my MOTU Classics collection. Had everything MOC but wanted them lose when I finally had the space to display them. I am now hunting for lose mint figures and sell the MOC when I was successful. The extra money is not really meaning alot to me, so I spend them for the kids which gives me more joy than opening a MOC. As for the Rockers, I can tell you from my own experience that it is relatively hard to find a MINT set lose. Buying one just to realize it is not as mint as the MOC figures would have been, is a major bummer. Therefore I‘d highly recommend to just rip the set open and enjoy your mint figures. Your not losing mich money if you do it once.

Those are two valuable to open you should try to look for Marty janetti on eBay and the Shawn Michaels you should try to find the retro fest one I'm pretty sure you can get that for a cheap price I wouldn't open it unless you don't care about the value of the figures and you just want to display them that's cool.

The way people collect things now, I don’t see any Mattel figures being worth what you see now with old LJN/Jakks/Hasbro stuff. That stuff is worth a lot now because people then didn’t buy to collect and you don’t have much of it left. Now days people collect EVERYTHING hoping to cash in a few years down the road. Only thing I would even consider keeping moc would be exclusives or figures that weren’t mass produced (King Harley Race) anything else won’t never see over $300-$500, not worth the time for such little bit of money.

If you’re a loose collector then I don’t see any reason why you would want to keep them in the box. It’s like asking “should I keep my new car in the garage under a tarp and never drive it so I don’t hurt the value of it?”

Rockers 2 pack is one of the holy grails especially mint on card, sell those suckers for a pretty penny. I sold mine for $250 and they were loose!

I'd open them, I'd do it in a savage fashion, and I'd film it for the YouTube hits. They're figures, meant to be enjoyed however you want to enjoy them. It sounds like you want them open, so open those bad boys up.

Wow....I don’t believe I’ve ever seen poll results here before that are so evenly divided into a tie (30 & 30 at the moment)
