Mauro Ranallo was possibly even more annoying, but everyone seemed to like him for some reason. Because he was the best WWF announcer since the JR & King/Heyman days
I don't know about that.
I always felt that Mauro liked to hear his own voice so that's why he kept talking so much. He would even talk over his announce team at time. That's why I loved it when Vince brought in Tom on Smackdown and Mauro had to shut his mouth and Tom did the majority of the hype for the show with JBL, and Mauro just sat there. It was great.

I remember it was Phillips who threw to packages & breaks but Mauro still called the action. John Layfield was overstaying his welcome by then I believe. There would be 4 people in the booth but if tag teams or trios were doing commentary it would mean that 6 or 7 people would be sat at the table. Which occured atleast once during that time.
