Why are the heads on some of the elite figures so big compared to other elites? .....I’ve noticed several that look like they should be on Jakks figures.....Legends 8 Jake Roberts & Michael Hayes are two recent examples

I think the new elite Jeff with the Triple H pack has a wide head. The new RR Austin headscan looks great too, but oversized as well. I notice that they look good, but out of scale. The one I can’t forgive them for is the bash at the beach Sting. Man, there were so many things you could of done to fix it, but there’s no way to fix an oversized head.

That Stinger is another that immediately came to mind & the expression they gave him didn’t help the matter at all, everyone grips about the DM GAB Sting but I far much more prefer that head scan over the Bash at the Beach scan/ scale.....I like the scale of the older elites series because they’re smaller (the older Legends series & the HOF Sting are some examples of that) .....most prefer the newer True Effects scans because it’s true that the current figures do look more realistic but some of the scales are WAY outta whack.....bigger isn’t always better

I think L8 Roberts & the Michael Hayes heads are fine, but the Elite 72 Murphy, RR Austin, Sting (Bash 3-pack) & JJ Dillion all have oversized heads. But still they have nowhere near as many as the amount Jakks released.

I thought they were fine too until I began to compare them to older ones in my collection....man you put either of those two next to say JYD from E33, Macho Man from E38, the RSC Wolfpac Kevin Nash or even next to a more recent one like the Warrior from Legends 8 & the difference in proportions are unreal

That’s true too I guess but that seemed to be the norm with a lot of the earlier series....I also have JYD from E33 & it’s the same way but I like that better than the bubble heads some have these days.....actually the entire HOF Sting figure seems small compared to his other figures but weird as it is, I don’t mind that, just something about the smaller scale that clicks with my brain, they look better to me

Goldust had the opposite problem. A pin head. Those stings are egregiously offensively out of scale. Scotty 2 hotty had a too big head. There’s a bunch of them. I guess some figures just get away from the design team.
Another problem is the no neck syndrome.
Mattel makes some gorgeously scaled/proportioned stuff and then some are just embarrassing that they allowed release.

You guys do know the human head isn't all the same size, right? I'm glad there are different sizes. It's real.

I'm looking at the BATB Sting on my desk right now. The head really isn't that big IMO.

Here’s the thing....sure different people have different size heads....but if different figures are made of the SAME person then they should all be the SAME size because it’s the SAME person represented....they’re head is not gonna grow (case in point here is the Bash at the Beach Sting) .....otherwise yes, different people have different size heads but Christ man they aren’t so big that they have to be THAT big on a figure (case in point here is Legends 8 Jake, Michael Hayes & the others mentioned here already) .....so like I said before, it’s actually UNreal

Shane's head from his ringside Exclusive is pretty bad. They use the same head on his WMXV Basic, updated with TrueFX. I dream of the day that we get updated headsculpts for him but I have a horrible feeling we won't.
