Hey guys it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I was just curious if anybody else is having bad QC issues with elites lately? I bought 2 of the new elite Jeff Hardy’s and both of them had the same right arms where the left should be and also my Paul baf torso from the new won’t allow the arm to go in on one side. I’ve made sure the peg is the right way but still not catching. I’ve reached out to Mattel and it seems like they really don’t care anymore.

Oddly my extra Gorilla Monsoon arm fit in the torso.

We’ve been talking about this since 2013. Sometimes it improves and then sometimes it goes back to being really bad. I still say they were the absolute worst around 2014-15

In the last two years the only q/c issues I remember having was my Fan Takeover Cole has one of his forearms put on backwards. And my UE Rock has a broken boot strap on one of his boots.

My UE Line has been a disaster as well I forgot to mention them. My Becky had such a bad paint job the mesh on the legs was completely gone in several places and most figures that had the interchangeable heads the peg almost came out on all of them the fiend was the worst.

For the most part, thankfully I don't have any really bad QC issues with majority of my figures. However, it does happen every now and then, mostly with the True FX printing looking a bit wonky sometimes. I did also have two separate Rollins Elites that had backwards leg related problems (E45 Rollins had his right foot placed backwards, whereas my E64 Rollins had his left knee placed backwards), but thankfully those issues were resolved by heating up the figure and fixing the joint by taking it off and putting it back on the way it was supposed to. Though, there WAS a time where I got a Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn BP, and the KO figure came with a really terrible bald spot on the side of his head, which luckily I was able to send back to Ringside in exchange for a better looking KO. This was a certified Oof moment...

Any mass produced line is likely to have issues but I have to (finally) agree that I believe the issues are starting to pile up. Sometimes its minor things like a blotch of paint somewhere but sometimes its a pretty big deal like having large missing paint app or the face print being WAY off.
Oddly enough the more Ive dove into Marvel Legends the more Im seeing how inferior Mattel's product is. Of course Ive seen this mentioned once before and the excuse was "well Hasbro re-uses a lot of the same bodies"....but we all know Mattel runs off spread sheets and never bothers fixing their issues even after countless/years of complaining.

I was really excited to finally get the hair-up smiling head for Roman with my E79 figure, only to find that the one that came with my figure has a huge black mark on the left of his face. I don't know what to do about it, he's sold out online. I ended up just throwing the head in a drawer and displaying it with the hair-down head. Not what I had hoped for but with the way his new character has been, it suits him more.

Most of my problems are with paint marks on their faces but I just tap it with acetone and it disappears.

It's an interesting problem -- that as figures get more complicated, QC becomes a big issue.
Look at Hasbro, LJN, Remco -- so simple and manageable, everyone got a great quality figure...

Crooked True FX eyes are the biggest thing I look out for. Frozen ratchet hips are still a problem unfortunately.

I agree, QC is probably the worst it’s been, 75% of the time its the true fx.

It’s an issue, but like you said all mass produces lines have them. But for me I would say I have had more q/c issue with ML & SW lines than I have with Mattel’s WWE and DC lines combined over the years. I just think it’s the luck of the draw so to speak. I will say when Mattel had released the 6” GL movie line I had six or seven Hal Jordan figures with a leg issue where the leg would break off at the hip joint. The first one I bought it broke off as soon as I opened it. I returned it to TRU for a new one. I got in the car and decided to open it there and sure enough it’s leg snapped off also. So I went back inside and got another and opened it at the counter and sure enough the leg snapped off again. So the manager and I got all the Hal’s they had and opened them one at a time with the same result until the fifth or sixth time where we opened one and it was in perfect condition.

I think since the True FX started QC has been by far the worse.

I’ve had a few loose joints and paint issues over the years, but at a guess I’d say it’s less than 10 out of a few hundred

I have an Ellering where his torso to legs won’t snap together. Just got my chase Brutus in and his head/ab crunch and waist are all loose. And I’ve mentioned it before, it’s because they’re posing them in weird positions in the box, I think that’s why most are coming out like that.
