so i had fully intended to share these figures yesterday but i was feeling a little under the weather. 😪 MEGA POST INCOMING BRINGING IN A FINN BALOR FRIDAY SATURDAY i picked these figures up at various times over the span of my collection so far, always on the hunt for a reasonable deal on MOC figures. i dont collect them for MOC display, but theres something special about opening the box and making the figure "Yours" i buy loose figures al the time but i prefer MOC. E74 Balori really like how this attire pops all around; plus we finally get a freaking softgoods jacket for finn. as i recall this attire was the one he wore when facing up against Brock, so i wouldve like to see a serious Finn face packaged along this cheeky smiling one. i like the red trunks and white boots; a weird phrase--but i like the way the figure looks from the back 😂 while wearing the coat; the red BC logo and the black fang designs on the back of the boots looks ace. I got this figure on Mercari MOC for $25 shipped. E41 Demon Balorbefore his appearance in nXt, i had not seen any Balor content. i had seen clips posted of the Rock n Rolla in NJPW but i had no idea what he was all about. i remember seeing images of his body paint appearances in NJPW posted in message boards and i remember thinking "thats a cool gimmick idea executed very well". I was a mark for the ascension, so i wasnt too high on his debut alongside Hideo itami crushing them 😤 lol. when he brought the Demon to Singles competition i was like "oh yeah this is freaking awesome!" this figure was from his match against neville, and that was a banger of a match. i liked the design of this early Demon look; im always a huge fan of the fangs in the front, but these early demon designs feel like they were based off of winged creatures. my biggest complaint with this and all the Demon figures is they opted to give us molded plastic for the arm tassles. theyre ablsolutely useless unless you pose the figure with its arms to the side, i dont know why they couldnt have given us some softgoods strings at the very least. i almost feel like if youre gonna collect one demon balor figure, you ought to just collect them all, so yeah im gonna recommend picking this figure up if you find a good deal on one. i got this figure MOC on Mercari for $19+shipping E46 Demon BalorSo this figure is based on the 'Beast in the East' show. i remember waking up at a super weird hour to watch the livestream of that show on the wwe network. there was a really unique feeling to that entire show that i REALLY enjoyed. anyways this is the iteration the The Demon from that event. i get major Carnage vibes from the front of this design and then we get an awesome Oni design on the back of the figure. this is up there as one of my favorite demon designs based on how aggressive the look comes off. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $13.50+shipping 😋 E70 Demon Balori thought the Jack the Ripper look was pretty appropriate for the nXt Takeover London event. this figure is cool because we get a snarling Finn face, softgoods jacket and interchangeable hands. i like the front half of this demon design, but i dont really like the back design as i feel it moves away from him portraying this 'creature'. this figure is fun to pose. i got this finn balor MOC on mercari for $22 shipped.

Summerslam Demon Balorso this is probably my favorite demon Balor figure. i love the bodypaint design and it looks GREAT with the Universal championship belt. this match was one that actually make me legit hate seth rollins for using that STUPID tossing powerbomb move. first sting and then Balor and then the stupid prick kept using the move. ANYWAYS i love the green tongue protruding from the fangs and the giant eyeball on the back. this paint design is really satisfying, i like it. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $30 shipped Entrance Greats Demon Balorthis is a pretty cool figure; i guess i like it less than the other Balor Figures because i think my favorite part of the Demon design are the fangs. this seems to portray a sort of 'wraith' design? it doenst feel as aggressive or intimidating as his other looks, but it still looks cool. i got this figure loose on ebay for $16.50 im still on the hunt for the few remainf Balor figure my collection is lacking, so expect an addendum sometime in the future 😋

First of all -- that E74 Balor is a GREAT figure. Shame he peg warmed. I guess low demand.
Second, I can't believe you got all those Balors in the E40s for so low. They're amazing figures, and were heard to get at the time...

back again with a classic superstar sunday Retrofest Ric Flairthis particular look of the nature boy has been a mainstay in my collection. i had the classic superstars Flair in the red, and then when i got to my mattel days, flair wasnt available yet so i popped the classic superstars head on a terry funk body and called it a day! i like the headsculpt; i love long hair flair; i think adding an extra WOO head wouldve been neat, but i get the purpose of the retrofest line. another small gripe i have with this figure is that there is no tape on the hands/fingers, but frankly i think only his first elite and UE have that detail. all in all this is a pretty decent flair figure; i find it weird that we got so few flair elites, he had alot of really cool looks that fans wouldve gobbled up. this particular look struck me real hard in the nostalges because i remember having alot of fun playing with the red CS figure when i was a kid. a little side note--i felt TERRIBLE opening this figure up becuase the box was so freaking cool. not only that, but it was quite challenging to open the box without having to undo too much factory tape. i got this figure MOC on mercari for $19 4 Horsemen HoFi had to get the remainder of the Horsemen to go along with my Flair. back in the day i owned the MattyCollector Arn & Tully--i dont see these figures being any different than those releases-which is a shame. Arn's nickname was The Enforcer-the mattel Arn is WAY TOO skinny. i get that they really dont have an appropriate body formula in place for someone like Arn;the brock torso would be TOO beefy but the formula they used makes Arn & Tully look like FTR. I dont have too much to add about Windham; its really cool that we eventually got him in the line because it seemed like for years that we would have to settle on Fix ups forever. the figure itself is a fair representation of the Widowmaker during that era. i wanted to make a sort of gripe on how the figure seems bland-but the black and red color scheme works with all other horsemen figures ; including the newest Sid figure. my particular Windham figure's legs are stupid loose; he definitely has spagetti legs due to loose hips. another gripe is that i just wish that we got the '4' hand sign for all of the figures. i bought all of these figures loose on ebay at different times for ~$20 shipped each. Classy Freddie Blassiei LOVE managers in wrestling. back in the day we had a variety of managers that helps give superstars a bit more creative direction and purpose. i remember an angle where managers were clamoring to a offer their services to (macho man?) and it was really interesting how each manager portrayed a different level of "lawful neutrality". capt lou, slickk, gary hart, brother love, mr fuji, bobby heenan, sensational sherry, paul bearer and freddy blassie. i love them all and i wish we had more managers in wrestling. Jade Cargill is one of my AEW faves and she utilizes the services of Smart Mark Sterling just perfectly. ANYWAYS, this Classie Freddie Blassie figure is perfect. we got a softgoods top, cane, necklace and pointer fingers. interesting detail is the ring on the finger; i think mattel uses this on other figures and just ignores that there is a ring molded onto the hand. the headsculpt is great, likeness is definitely there. i got this figure on walmart.com for 9.99 coz im NOT a pencil neck geek! RSE Warriori keep telling myself that i dont need anymore Warrior figures, but they keep appearing in my mailbox 😝 that being said, i really like this warrior because the attire really POPS. i love the shade of blue used for the trunks and the yellow/orange details contrast that great. we got the ultra neat tassles with pins, softgoods coat with a bunch of awesome artwork printed on it.i like the headsculpt provided; warrior is making his huff and puff face. and im sooooo glad that we got the open claw style hands because they look great for the 'ultimate slam' pose. all in all this is a great warrior figure; we seem to get elite warrior figures every now and again and they rarely end up being disappointing. i got this figure for retail on Ringside. E47 Tantakai had previously purchased and reviewed the legends Tantaka in the long bois, but i think ultimately i like this figure better. i dont really have any major complaints with this figure other than i think a headdress wouldve been a neat thing to add---but knowing mattel they wouldve molded it in plastic and i dont know about that. i got this figure loose on ebay for $24 shipped

The Warrior is amazing. I'm buying that during the Black Friday sale.
Tatanka is really great -- and can't believe you got Blassie for 9.99.
The Flair is awesome, and Arn is pretty good. Love this thread!

a short slice of reviews today, but i wanted to share three of the coolest figures ive added to the collection recently! 🤓 Sgt Slaughter UltimateTHE SARGE is still moving exclusives in 2021, BROTHER! lol. this was actually a slightly bittersweet purchase; back when the sarge dropped on mattelcreations, i was on the site and HAD HIM IN MY CART. as the site was processing my payment---like 2mins after the drop--i got an error saying that the figure had already been sold out. bogus. oh well, i knew that i would eventually own the figure, just what kindof a hit to the wallet would i take? this figure is AWESOME. ive ALWAYS been a fan of Sgt Slaughter--i kindof touched on it in a previous review of the Hall of Fame figure. i really like the look of the black gloves on the figure, the boots have AN insignia on the boots-still not all the way proper, but its atleast there. a huge +1 i give this figure is the included white belt. on his previous HoF figure, they simply painted it on and i thought that was kindof weak. i feel like the headsculpt is the same, just touched up? or better paint apps? the screaming head is unique and at first i hated it, but after re-watching some old slaughter matches and promos; it works. ive only reviewed a few of my ultimates-but one of my personal gripes with the added articulation is the loss of a realistic appearance. case in point here-the butterfly joints. mattel has a tendency to paint skintone on singlet bodies, so, i think the whole area of sarge's butterfly joints looks a little jarring. i appreciate the added mobility for static poses or action poses for moves, but it just really stands out to me. the sarge ultimate came with a softgoods coat, hat, glasses, whistle, and riding crop. all great accessories, imo. only issue i had was with the collar of sarge's jacket-i had to use double stick tape to keep the collar flat. my riding crop is not bent or warped at all, i saw a few people had issues with that. one thing i did have a small issue with was keeping the figure balanced while standing. it seems like he got the same legs as his elite releases and they're these kinda string beans that lead into his eggy shaped torso. the first night i had him displayed, he toppled over during the night and his hat got a nice bend in the brim all in all i really enjoy this figure. it is an ultimate edition of a legend figure that only saw 3 other previous unique looks in the elite line. not only that, but Sarge has a history of being featured as an Exclusive Release. im really glad that we got a Sarge Ultimate becuase he will look great next to the other Legends Ultimates like Macho, Flair and Hogan. Legends NashNash and Hall figures always demand a stupid price on secondary market, so i was ultra pumped to see the legends release of the outsiders. one thing that really sold them for me was the Tupac style bandanas--i love small easter eggs like that. this attire is from his Halloween Havoc match? im not sure if mattel intended the Hall and Nash figures to be a pairing and represent a particular look or event? they still look great together. here is the newest Nash posed alongside the RSC Nash which is in a similar attire. i really like the newest Legends Nash much better, HOWEVER as you can see the paint apps to my Nash's face arent quite all there. it looks like half of his goatee got a heavier paint app than the other half and thats a real bummer; the eyes seem to also not be applied just quite on the spot. all in all, as ive reviewed other Nash figures; this one obviously isnt much different than all the rest besides the RealFX head. the sculpt looks to be really good, but the paint apps on my figure are spotty-so im crossing my fingers on being able to find one in person locally that looks much better. im always happy to get Nash figures; my fingers are crossed for a re-release of his all red outsiders attire because that was my favorite looks and that figure has ALWAYS been stupid expensive. im gonna go ahead and say "buy it" if you can find this figure for retail or close to it. as history as shown, Nash figures seems to demand a good price and with this being a new figure right now is the time to strike a deal before they get hoarded i got this figure MOC on Mercari for $38 shipped IM AN ASS MAN BEWP BEWP YEAH, IM AN ASS MAAAAAAAAANNN BEWP BEWP YEAHHHHHHHI love to love 'em I love to kick 'em I love to shove 'em I love to stick 'em Love to flaunt 'em I love to watch 'em I love to pick 'em And I'm gonna kick 'em COZ IM AN ASSSS MANNN Legends Billy Gunnwell considering that everyone and their brother seems to think that billy gunn elites are worth $60+ whether loose or in the package, this is my FIRST Billy Gunn elite figure 😂 its a great figure to boot. the realfx paint apps to my figure are spot on and it looks GREAT! the white trunks look really cool and unique considering that we got his two most infamous colors in previous figure releases. im not a Billy Gunn Historian, but i feel like he traditionally wore white boots; that being said we did get the proper style 'strapped' boots. the softgoods pants and DX shirt are amazing; i love getting softgoods for figures. the Helmet is actually pretty cool considering that they had to add in the branches; i cant wait to complete the DX army and have a chance at getting these figures at retail. i really thought that this figure would look amazing next to the Hall of Champions Road Dogg, but they dont really look like anything special when posed next to eachother. the only gripe i have is that for some reason my billy gunn's left open hand was crunched up in the packaging and the fingers got curled up. all in all i have to put this figure in the 'go buy it immediately' category as i stated earlier, Billy Gunn figures demand a ridiculous price on the secondary markety, so if you get the chance to scoop this guy up for retail now, do it or you may regret it later. i was lucky enough to acquire this figure on Target.com for retail 👑

I actually prefer the RSC Nash better -- because the Legends seems TOO realistic to me. I like my figures a little more cartoony...

ive got a whole bunch of new figures to share! E69 Rey Mysterioi just wanted this Rey because i like the turquoise color scheme of the attire. my main complaint concerning this figure is the dated headsculpt that they used for it. beyond that, this particular figure arrived and the legs were COMPLETELY frozen. i was able to break the lower knee joints free, but the rest of the legs are...almost feeling superglued together? weird, never experienced this with a figure before. the tights and the designs on them really pop and i also like the details on the boots. i just cant get past that headsculpt, i mean come on it was series 69 by that point and they were still using the exact same rey head seen in earlier series. i got this rey loose, but with all accessories for $16.50 on ebay E88 Rey Mysteriothis is probably my favorite Rey figure. the attire really pops and the headsculpt is really cool. the new singlet torso looks good for rey, i do kind feel like they buffed his chest a bit too much, but nonetheless it does make for a cool looking figure overall. this figure feels great in the hand, it poses nicely all and joints move fluidly--i bring that up because for some reason the new rey figures all feel proportioned and balanced appropriately. this is actually the second E88 Rey i received-the first one i had purchased from ringside and the figure came with some pretty ridiculous factory damage to the legs--the wing designs were misprinted and there were weird yellow/brown splotches all over the legs.QA fail forsure. when looking at this particular Rey,i get brought back to fantasy booking and i could see this Rey portrayed as a more serious, determined competitor. even a heel as a sort of "sky pirate" type character. i dig it, this is a fun figure. i got this Rey for retail on EE E87 Santos Escobarto be candid i dont really keep up with modern wwe programming at all; i get little blips on social media but i dont keep up with the product. that being said i had no intention of buying Santos Escobar---until i found out who he was. i was a HUGE Lucha Underground fan and i came to learn that Santos Escobar in WWE was King Cuerno in LU. i was a HUUUUUUUUUUGE King Cuerno fan so i felt somewhat compelled to pick up this figure. overall, i do like this figure but there are two things i have to subtract points for; the left knee pad was put on upside down and there is a weird thing where the left arm cannot be extended outwards all the way because the shoulder catches on the opening in the torso. also, the masked head appears to sit too high on the neck making it look awkward. beyond that i like the tights designs, the designs on the boots, the tassles for the boots, and i think the painted elbow pad is unique. this figure also has the pinless, double jointed elbows which are cool. he was also packaged with the nXt cruiserweight title which is coll to have in the collection now. i got this figure for $19 on Amazon prime HoF Eddie GuerreroTHIS is the Eddie i grew up with and remember fondly. when the Radicalz made their way into the WWF, it was a special moment. i would absolutely lose my mind if Perry Saturn somehow made his way into the mattel line. this figure is great; i love the gold and black tights, the headsculpt is pretty on point and the overall body recipe is choice. i have no complaints with this figure at all. i did buy this figure loose, so i missed out on the latino heat roses, but i also think it would've been cool for them to include an arm sling accessory. i got this figure loose on ebay for $18 shipped E88 Kushidahonest truth is that i added this figure to the cart for free shipping. as i previously mentioned, i havent kept up with modern wwe programming, but this figure in itself looks really cool. i thought the softgoods top was super unique and i like the 'back to the future' look with the vest on top. i also like the way they were able to make the shorts and kickpads work, that looks great. i just overall think this figure looks cool and unique.

Kushida is an awesome figure -- so cool he got one, since he seems on his way either out of WWE -- or to be treated horribly in the 24/7 division

well, its a dreary, cold sunday 🥶❄ so ive finally got some time to share some more additions to the collections. i see a few other members starting up collection share threads; awesome, lets see what you got!! Michael PS Hayesby the time i started watching wrestling, Hayes was going as Dok Hendrix in a backstage role capacity. later on, he managed the Hardy Boyz and i was a huge fan of that early iteration of the tag team. also was purely entertained to see Hayes Dress in the similar baggy jeans and tribal shirts as matt and jeff lol this figure is pretty cool--Hayes was massive character in the early days--just oozing with charisma, sometimes for all the wrong reasons. we get hayes in red trunks, softgoods Badstreet shirt and fantastic 80's glasses. they did an alright job of capturing his likeness--i think the figure looks way better with the glasses on. they definitely did a great job of capturing his glorious golden hair. is this figure a must have? i dont think so, unless youre a huge fan--i bought it because its proabably gonna be the only Hayes figure we ever get. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $20 shipped Shinsuke Nakamura elitesive shared my thoughts on a few other shinsuke figures, but i got these two a while ago and tbh i think i like these two the most. i bought them because i REALLY enjoyed shinsuke in NJPW and i felt that these two figures capture his looks there the closest. i feel like these figures share the same headsculpt but i like the nXt takeover figure the most. i do think the expression is a little bland for Shinsuke, but idk, the other figures have tried to capture some sort of expression and it just doesnt seem to work with him wearing the mouthguard. i got both of these figures loose on ebay for $21 shipped E64 Pete DunneTHE BRUISERWEIGHT. i was a big fan of the nXt UK tournament, the talent and the matches were all supremely entertaining. i liked the look that Pete Dunne brought to the ring--he reminded me of Sami Callihan(whose early work im a huge fan of). honestly this was one of those 'browsing ebay late at night hmmm ill just throw a bid on this and hopefully someone else wants it more' purchases 🤣😅 if i feel ambitious i can see myself trying to turn this into a Callihan custom. i will give them massive credit on the headsculpt. it actually looks great with the snarl and the mouthguard, traditionally they dont do so well with mouthguard figures, imo. all in all its a pretty cool figure, ill share some more thoughts...... i got this figure MOC on ebay for $15+shipping E75 Pete Dunneive been batting a thousand on my late night bidding, lol. so, now that i own both of the Dunne figures i can say that they both have elements that i like--and others that i dont. the E75 headsculpt SUCKS. it looks like he was hanging out with matt riddle 😝 i do like the black and gold attire of the E75 more than the red and black of the e64, and i like that the E75 figure came with the UK championship. i think that doing a headswap from the E64 figure to the E75 figure would make a version that i think would be the best looking. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $25 shipped

You got a great deal on that E64 Pete Dunne. People here were going to war over that figure when it came out. Wild to see it going for $15 these days, lol. To this day, it's my favorite figure of his.

happy saturday y'all! i hope you were able to lock in pre-orders for the new legends series on target. i wasa able to nab a trips and orton but i missed out on jake and hurricane 😑 WALTERwell after reviewing Dunne in my last post, i felt it necessary to bring out the Ring General, WALTER. this figure is AWESOME, imo. we got a soft goods jacket, chop hands and the nXt UK championship. the headsculpt on this figure is completely on point, it looks great. the body recipe works great for WALTER aswell. i genuinely have no complaints about this figure at all, it feels like a perfect incarnation of the man--go buy one! i got this figure from ringside. Bo DallasYOU JUST GOTTA BO-LIEVEi loved the absurdity of bo dallas in nXt; they really shouldve kept going with the toxic positivity Bo gimmick. like the WALTER figure, this figure is perfect in its simplicity. we got a softgoods Bolieve shirt with this figure-which at the time was the best they could do; wouldve liked to see an nXt championship packaged, and even though they werent doing interchangeable hands, this figure would benefit from having a thumbs up hand. regardless, i think this figure is as perfect of a Bo Dallas figure as we're ever gonna get. i would say that the body recipe works fine for Bo, he was built like Daniel Bryan and this is basically how they made him. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $10+shipping E59 Kurt Anglethis figure is a must have-go buy it--ITS TRUE ITS TRUE!! back in the day i had this figure in RA form and it was my favorite kurt angle figure-even if the jakks head was whack. this is definitely one of my top favorite mattel elites now, they really did a great job on this figure. we got a red team angle softgoods hoodie, gold medals, and they nailed all of the details on the singlet and kneepads. headsculpt on this figure looks GREAT and even better when posed with the vac Undisputed Championship belt. i cannot type enough praise for this figure it looks great! bonus points to mattel for releasing this figure alongside American Alpha in the same series. i got this figure loose on ebay for $27 E66 Kurt Anglewe can file Kurt Angle's last WWE run under "ball dropped real hard". i honestly got this figure because the price was great and i kinda wanted a modern angle for the collection. the headsculpt on this figure and realfx looks great! i really am indifferent on this look for kurt, it has nothing to do with the figure but i really dont like the look of the full torso shirt and the hand wraps. but all in all this isnt a terrible figure; all of the details are applied cleanly and we got a fully sculpted torso which is always cool. this look for kurt just doesnt really present well, so thats why im really kinda 'ehh' on this figure as a whole. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $17 shipped

happy day after thanksgiving, everyone! just to perpetuate some positivity; there are SO MANY things in my life right now that i am grateful for upfront-my health, my friends-new and old, my pets, and my hobbies. i started collecting figures again in january of 2020. for many months i felt awkward, there were still moments where i would open a package and sigh--'what am i doing this again for?....' i slowly realized that i was letting outside pressures corrupt who i was at my core. 'im doing this again because i truly enjoy it'. lowkey one of the things im grateful for is my collection. seeing and holding and posing each figure brings up so many great happy memories of the past and it stokes the creativity within me. as i get caught up on sharing my figures and doing reviews, im going to be taking the photography aspect much more seriously and ill be sharing some neat concepts and hopefully doing snapshots of iconic matches and moments. combined with that is my gratitude for the wfigs board here. there are a few members that i really enjoy seeing your posts and opinions in other threads and even stopping by my thread to drop a comment is always appreciated. im reaching 12,000 views on my modest thread here and that completely blows my mind 🤯🤯 i graduated 8th grade alongside 17 other kids; went to highschool with about 2000 other people and now my thread has 12000 views, i cant even, thank you so much for the continued interest everyone! ONTO SOME NEW FIGS E75 Hurricanethis is my first Hurricane figure ever and i gotta say that mattel did a great job on it! i remember when Hurricane debuted on tv with facepaint, then gradually evolved into wearing the mask and having the cool neon green look. my #1 gripe about this figure is the fact that they used the short kickpads instead of the taller ones, second-lesser gripe-is that i wouldve liked to see him packaged with the Cruiserweight championship. other than that, the headscuplt looks great, the colors of the figure look great, the softgoods cape looks and feels great, and other than the boots i dont have any complaints about the body recipe. i really like that this was his first elite AND they gave us a chase in the same wave that basically captured his two most iconic looks(im still hunting a good priced chase). all in all i suggest scooping up the Hurricane elites if you can get them at a good price-prices should cool down a bit with his new legends figure dropping soon. i got this figure loose on mercari for $24 shipped Legends Piperi had randomly checked the target website for a restock and i got lucky enough to find piper back in stock. i didnt take too many pictures or frankly have too much to say about this figure as its fairly straightforward. i do enjoy Piper's long hair look but the headsculpt is a little off on this figure, looking at pictures-the HoF figure had a better looking headsculpt, albeit a screaming one. softgoods top and kilt are always awesome, the printed vintage shirt looks really cool aswell. all in all i mean---its a new piper figure, but IMO the headsculpt leaves this one ranked pretty low in the list of pipers that we've gotten already. i have a pre-order locked in for John Nada but its delayed so im hoping real hard ill still be able to get that one from a retailer. i got this figure on target.com Bret Hart Survivor Seriesso with this figure release mattel still sits at 0 good bret hart portrayals, but im not telling you anything that you dont already know. even given that, i was excited for the release of this figure because i LOVED the SS match with steve austin that this attire portrays. i personally would never mix Orange and Pink in an outfit but then again im not the hitman, so. we got some interchangeable hands, glasses and the infamous pink chair from the event. if you look closely at the headsculpt, its not godawful, but i think the swept back hair didnt do it any favors at all. the figure looks OKAY when posed with the sunglasses on. that being said, i dont think the formula changes at all from bret figure to bret figure so there isnt too much more i have to share about the figure/recipe. i am glad that they gave him elbow pads. all in all; Bret figures as a whole are pretty pricey. this is a new release, so id recommend buying it for as close to retail as possible, but just be weary that they still havent quite nailed down bret's likeness just yet. i got this figure for retail on ringside Hulk Hogan Survivor SeriesWHEN IT COMES CRASHING DOWN AND IT HURTS INSIDE im really glad that the hulkster is still moving merch in 2021, brother. i missed out on all of the previous Hogan elites so, this is my first flashback hogan elite, and i like it! im a little bit iffy on the headsculpt, the printing on the eyes is juuuust a little sketchy. beyond that, i personally have no complaints with the body formula. we got the pinless, double jointed arms which work out great. the softgoods shirt is cool, it has those iconic cuts in the back and velcro in the front for ripping action. we got a bunch of extra hands and the winged eagle championship belt, which are appropriate accessories. i dont have any complaints on the figure; some may say that the skintone looks too tan, but the hulkster looked like he was made out of leather 🤣 the headsculpt looks fine in certain poses, but it does look dodgy when trying to capture a serious look. all in all i would say-go buy this figure. all of the previous hogan elites go for $50+ and none of them feature the double jointed arms we get with this figure. i got this figure for retail on ringside E89 Sgt SlaughterWrestlemania VII was one of my FAVORITE VHS tapes to rent when i was younger. that being said i was ultra hyped for this release of the sarge, however the figure falls short a little bit. the most glaring thing are the boots; IIRC sarge always wore his green boots with military insignia on the sides, and frankly i really wish mattel would have atleast printed the medals and ranks worn on the jacket. the boots are a big WTF for me because they actually got them right on his ultimate edition figure. the beret accessory also just barely fits on the figures head, so it was a PAIN to attempt to keep it sitting on the figures head properly. my riding crop accessory came out of the package warped AF, too which looks less than cool. on the plus side, we finally got some red elbow pads for sarge and it looks like they used the slightly updated ultimate edition slaughter head on this figure, so that looks great. as i mentioned in the Col.Mustafa review; the jacket is very well made and i really like the material that they chose for it. im sure its the exact same jacket, but this one seems to fit the slaughter figure a bit better than the mustafa figure. all-in-all, this figure does fill a gap in the slaughter character timeline that we were missing, although i REALLY feel like they shouldve given us the proper boots. i got this figure for retail on ringside

MonsoonMan -- love this thread, and your post about collecting keep it coming. I think the Hurricane is great, and that Bret Hart actually looks OK as long as the glasses are on...

Bret is a very underrated figure. Needs a head swap though.

Happy Sunday! we're getting some not so awesome sleety weather today ❄🌨 so as i sip my coffee and pet my doggo inside in the warmth today, i wanted to post some updates to the collection with a Straggler Sunday. i got a few random figures in to plug into my superstar specific categories. E59 Finn Baloras i recall, this was the last Demon Balor elite that i was missing from the lineup of releases. truth be told i feel like this figure doesnt feel as exciting as previous versions that ive already collected. the teeth seem to be a bit more refined and stylized to reflect "the demon" persona specifically, and we got a big glowing eye on the back. IIRC this specific look was an 'appearance only' on raw. all in all, i personally wouldnt splurge to have this figure in the collection. as far as significance of the look and the overall design compared to other figures, this one just feels like it could be passed over.for some reason this Balor was the most expensive one ive bought; people were asking upwards of $50 MOC for this and i have no idea why. i ended up offering/paying $35 shipped for this figure MOC on ebay. DM Ric Flairso my VERY FIRST ric flair figure ever was a WCW Galoob Ric Flair that i found at a discount store with my grandmother. props to my imagination for accepting that figure into my fed of wcw toybiz and jakks bca figures 🤣 anyways, that ric flair figure was wearing the blue trunks--fast forward many years later and i was able to upgrade that figure to the TTL Ric flair, also wearing the blue trunks. here we are another many years later and i have the mattel flair---in the blue trunks 😎 this is the DM figure from the retirement match with hbk; the robe is really something else, lol and i mean that in a good way. it is very intricate and the materials used are VERY high quality. not only that but it has VOLUME, when you spread the robe out, it is huuuge. the figure itself is pretty much perfect. im sure some arguments could be made about the torso choice, but i like this for an idealized nature boy. the headsculpt looks great, although a little bit of a bland expression on the face. i thought one cool little thing they made sure to include was the tape on the fingers. all in all i would definitely say to pick up this flair figure if you can get him at a good price. who knows when we'll be getting any more flair mattels and this is one of the only late era figures. i was able to get this figure for $20 shipped loose on ebay CM Hart Basici dont remember what series this Punk is from but ever since he returned to AEW, all of his figures have absolutely skyrocketed in price. if i see any basics or elites for sale at a GOOD price, i scoop them up. a side note--i dont know why anyone didnt jump on both the CM Hart and the CM Macho Man looks and made them as elite exclusives. i remember seeing EVERYONE and their brother making customs of those two looks; they wouldve made great elites. i got this punk loose on ebay for $16 shipped NoD Rocki was really hesitant to buy this figure solo because i really wanted the two pack to have Farooq as well. price for the two pack hover around $80-90 MOC and thats a little too much for me, but it sucks because the NoD Farooq rarely shows up for sale and when he does hes priced too high or has no accessories. ANYWAYS i saw this figure for sale on ebay loose but mint for a really cheap price, so i bought it. i will say that this is one of those figures that the torso choice is whack. Rocky was no where near being this big or shredded when he was in NoD. i got this figure loose on ebay for $14.99 shipped Wrestlemania Cactus Jackso i dont think id have many ppl disagree with me when i say that this figure is a stinker. 🤮 ive seen some pictures of Mick from the match where i can see where the design team pulled likeness from....but its really not there. this headsculpt reminds me of the TTL or BCA days where the likenesses were really ballpark at best. i got this figure just to fill in the gap in the collection, but i would recommend simply passing on this one. its kindof funny because the Edge figure that was released to go along with this Cactus....also looks like trash. i got this figure MOC on ebay for $30 shipped RSE Cactus Jacknow THIS is a cactus figure! headsculpt is so much more improved, dare i say the best headsculpt seen on a cactus figure. i like the softgoods shirt, cowboy boots look great and we finally get the BANG BANG hands! one kindof silly gripe i have is that they released him with ONE ECW Tag belt; almost like the upcoming undertaker with WCW tag belt-----who else are they going to release with that belt so we get a fair chance at a set? i do kinda feel like this figure is kindof trim for mick foley, but mattel is infamous for overly skinny bodies. all in all i would definitely recommend this cactus figure. the headsculpt looks great and the figure overall is vastly impoved over the other cactus releases. i got this figure for retail on ringside.

I think the Wrestlemania 22 Foley would be improved with the Cactus Jack headscan.

Wrestlemania 22 Foley reminds me of BCA heads too, but even the BCA Cactus Jack looks better than that. The RSE is the best Foley scan to date. Which shows Mattel heads are a hit or miss.
